The Hi-Rail vehicles could be fun to run on any route. I see them occasionally when I'm railfanning. A speeder, crane car/boom car, rotary snowplow, regular snowplow, ballast tamper, flanger, and spreader are needed. Snow clearing operations would be so cool, especially on mountain rail lines or rail lines with lots of snow, like the Alaska RR, SP Donner Pass, etc.
