    Overview:

The Mainz - Koblenz route is great, but I think that it should extend to Frankfurt as it’s not that far away. Additionally, it would be nice to have a modern version of the extended route so we can drive to Frankfurt Airport as well.

    Rolling Stock:

The 90s version can use the same rolling stock, but this is what I think the modern version should have:

    DB BR 411 ICE T:

    DB BR 429.1

    DB BR 430:

    The Extension Itself:

This is the entire route with the extension, the extension is circled. The most unique part is where it diverges near Frankfurt. The 429.1, regional services, and some ICE services go on the northern track, while the southern track is exclusive to ICE and IC trains. This split didn’t exist in the 90s, so all trains would go on the same track. This is the primary reason for why I think both era routes should be separate. The 430 operates the S-Bahn services out of Frankfurt.

    Layers:

These are the following trains that can layer onto the route for the modern version:

    Freight (basically all freight locomotives):

    110
    143
    155
    182
    185
    187
    Vectron

    Passenger:

    ICE 1
    ICE 3
    TGV Duplex
    DB BR 101
    DB BR 143
    DB BR 146
    DB BR 442

    Pricing and Conclusion:

I think this would be a really cool addition. The extension for the 90s version should be free, and the price if you don’t own it should remain the same. However, the modern version should be the typical 40$, but reduced to 20$ if you already own the 90s version, and vice versa. Let me know what you guys think.

I would love to see this as long it is a shame the original didn't go to Frankfurt as I imagine many IC trains terminate there.

Bring It On and let me guess you are trying to recreate train simulator classic Linke Rheinstrecke Koblenz Bingen Mainz Frankfurt am Main Hbf via Frankfurt Flughafen. The sleeper trains usually run here are Taurus 23:41 Koblenz 00:46 Mainz vectron 01:12 Koblenz 02:03 Mainz

Yeah the TS Classic version was my inspiration, only with the DB BR 430 thrown in, thanks for the information on the sleeper trains, those will be a good addition!

Not sure what you mean by impossible, I checked the services out of Frankfurt, and TGV services did go there. And the TGV has layered onto SEHS so it can layer onto other routes. Maybe my research was incorrect with the layers, but I’m pretty sure it can layer on

Well thanks for the information, they could just use the one we already have as a substitute until we get the proper one

Frankfurt Fernbahnhof for life!!! it would be insane to have that station, especially with the ICE 3, ICE 1 quite sometimes, the ICE T that has been suggested here, and the ICE 3 Velaro D which is being developed as a mod

After those during late nights 182 Black Yellow and Traffic Red colours that also includes the Vectron too because any sleeper trains to Frankfurt towards the Netherlands and Belgium are operated by those locomotives.

So, it won't be there, then.
Modded trains are incredibly limited, anyway. It's usually just a new model imported over the original.
