This interesting historical-themed construction (puppet theatre stage maybe?) is found at Nishi-Maizuru Station. Would be interesting to know what it is and why it is there:

Really excellent idea and if you are wondering you can tie this with the Haruka Airport railway Kyoto to Kansai Airport. Bundle is called airport to mountain route Kansai region.
In the original post I included a video of the now-retired 183 series, supposedly under JR West operation. But I think that is JNR livery running under JR West shortly after privatisation? And this instead is the JR West livery on that train when it ran as the Maizuru express: https://twitter.com/shobo_net/status/1312747851374493699
I like your suggestions about japanese routes. According to the efforts you put in to describe the different routes and rolling stock here in the forum, was there ever a response from dtg?
Thank you! No, I've only read/heard DtG mention prospects of expanding to Japan a few times. There is this old forum post that says they would love to explore the possibility one day, and I've heard their streaming team recognise during livestreams that Japan is one of the top-requested new locations and that some of them would personally love to visit the country to see its rail system.
