Would be nice if Dovetail made the P / G / R switches in locomotives working in Train Sim. It adds a lot of realism, given that the brakes should apply/release much slower on goods trains, for example, than on a passenger train. For even more realism it could be made working on the wagons. it provides just a little more realism in the game. And I think it shouldn't be difficult to implement in conjunction with Simugraph. Although I don't know much about it myself, it could be more difficult.
They implemented this on the IC coaches already, and said in a stream they would also implement it on all new released (German) rolling stock, starting with Riesa-Dresden.
The G-P-R switch is a brake timing selector found on all rolling stock. With this you can choose how fast the brakes respond to a pressure difference in the brake pipe. With that, you can avoid too high forces within the train and on the couplers, which could otherwise result in a derailment. G stands for Güter (Freight) and P for Passagier (Passenger). R stands for Rapid and has the same timing as the P setting but activates the pressure amplification, which increases the brake cylinder pressure depending on the speed of the train to ensure the best braking performance. These switches also select if the magnetic rail brakes are active (either P + Mg or R + Mg). P - R - R + Mg switch on a Dosto:
