Is it possible to open the doors and close them quickly to make up time instead of waiting for the circle to full and tell you to close the doors. Not tried it yet so just asking. It is a way in real life I could get the train moving quickly. Plus lots of use of the hurray up whistle of station staff or guard.
On some routes you can press the door closed button a few seconds before the circle is full. I know this works on East Coastway and SouthEastern high speed and it may work on Bakerloo line. It may work on a few others that I haven't tried yet. On older routes like GWE, TVL and NTP it doesn't work and you have to wait until the circle is full before closing the doors. On railtour journeys and timetables, the doors also cannot be closed until the circle is full, otherwise you get the open doors prompt underneath the circle icon.
You can't skip the whole circle, however you can press close doors button right before when the circle is full. This depends on how fast the doors closes.
No leaving late passengers behind then As we used to on BR. Trains run on the Guards watch (not indavdiual passengers watches!) , Though we had to set our watches by Kings Cross Platform main clock by the bridge every shift. Though the train time is a "Departure" time not a "I can get on the train then" it should be leaving. I forget the number of times I told passengers that, get to the train station 5 minutes or 10 before the train time to make sure you are on the train and seated. Passengers can very easily add a minute at every stop to a trains times and then blame BR for late running trains!
