Introduction Today I'll be suggesting a route operated by Northern Rail owned by DfT OLR Holdings Limited this route would be 1 hour and 24 minutes long and would have 41 miles of track (65 km) and will serve 26 stations in total. The route This route is 41 miles long (65 km) and will have 26 stations this route would have both electric and desiel trains. Rolling stock 195/0 & 195/1 (DMU) The class 195 built by CAF from 2017-2020 and entered service in 2019 there are 58 units in passenger service with 25 two cars and 33 three cars the /0 has 2 coaches while the /1 has 3 coaches the top speed of this train is 100 mph (160 km/h) 331/0 (EMU) The class 331 built by CAF from 2017-2020 and entered service from 2019-2020 there are 43 units in service with 31 three car and 12 car units the /0 is a three car and the /1 is a four car the top speed of this train is 100 mph (161 km/h). Stations •SHEFFIELD •Dore & Totley •Grindleford •Hathersage •Bamford •Hope •Edale •Chinley •New Mills Central •Strines •Marple •Romiley •Bredbury •Brinnington •Reddish North •Ryder Brow •Belle Vue •Ashburys •Ardwick •MANCHESTER PICCADILLY •Mauldeth Road •Burnage •East Didsbury •Gatley •Heald Green •MANCHESTER AIRPORT Potential DLCS •train class 150/0,1 and /2 •331 & 195 livery bundle including Deva Victrix,Pride Of Cumbria,Key Workers,Proud To Be Northern & Calder Champion AI •train class 323 •train class 158 How many trains per a day •Manchester Picaddilly to Sheffield 70 trains a day •Manchester Picaddilly to Manchester Airport 166 trains a day Conclusion This route would be great for Tsw4 as it involves modern desiel and electric it would add more life with more AI in Manchester Piccadilly than it currently has. Thanks for reading this suggestion feel free to comment what you think hope you like my suggestion
Very nice suggestion! Lol, if it wasn't for the fact that one is electric I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the class 331 and class 195!
Yes they are identical the only few differences are that the 195 have 2 -3 coaches and 331s have 3-4 coaches and thanks for reading this suggestion
hope valley line? We need a 185 with this for the liverpool to cleethorpes services. The EMT 158 can be drivable between manchester and sheffield as long as the section between new mills south junction and slade lane junction via hazel grove is included, same for the 185. The 323 can be drivable between piccadily and manchester airport/stockport The 331 can only do manchester to stockport and manchester airport. It would only be /0s on this route, /1s only operate on the west yorkshire electrified routes currently. Those are literally just signs on the side of the train, here's pride of cumbria below. imho this route should just be the hope valley line Manchester Piccadilly to sheffield via stockport and new mills central with the 195 and 185. Drivable 158 layers between manchester and sheffield via stockport. Driveable 323 layers from manchester to stockport and on the glossop line to guide bridge, AI for the manchester airport runs. There's not much point for the 331 to be added as a new train since it only does a few miles on this route (would be good as a layer if it's from an existing route) I have gone on a lot about how the route should be. But this is a route I would genuinely love to see , I've been on the route a couple of times (and counting) once on a 158 and another on a 185 and the scenery is something else
Very good suggestion mate! I'd love to see this in the game one day, It would make Manchester piccadilly more lively as we would have different trains passing and going even stopping in the station..!
Another great suggestion mate, the Hope Valley Line is a must-have in TSW Plus you have part of the Styal Line in on the section to Manchester Airport as well and with that comes more variety in services and TOCs too
Bring it on to the game and why not have its creator in train simulator classic Just Trains Re do it for TSW4. To them it's like making Blackpool Ormskirk via Preston this time in Manchester area era 7 2011-present
If you were to include the Hazel Grove Branch utilised by the 158s and 185s, you would be able to run the 331s to Hazel Grove as they run there from Man Pic. Could also include the 150 as AI layers as they run to Buxton. Good choice of a route, but I feel to utilise it properly you’d include both lines and I’d include the freight line to Hope Cemex Works to add some variety to the route. Overall, top suggestion - with the use of the online hub, you could make a real lively Piccadilly and Sheffield - all you need then is someone to develop the 390 and 220/221 and you’d practically have Piccadilly as it is in real life.
for some strange reason despite being fully electrified that service is run by a pair of 150s irl! although it should deffo be run by 331s irl. yeah, that'll be needed too
