I think DTG should produce the Manchester Victoria to Leeds and York route.

The main route would Run from Manchester Victoria but start 1-2 miles before in the Salford area as a number of services originated from that direction. The line would run up the 1 in 57-1 in 49 bank to Miles Platting and then diverge right and run via Stalybridge and climb to Diggle to pass thru Standedge Tunnel and down towards Huddersfield. After the line runs via Mirfield to Dewsbury to Leeds City. Departing Leeds the line passes Neville Hill depot and via Church Fenton to York. The line should extend a mile beyond York to allow scenarios of thru services.

A large number of junctions exist/existed on the line where other services joined and left.
This page has more info on the route and stations of the line between Manchester and Leeds.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Huddersfield_line - Although there are no major freight yards on the direct route there are a number which fed traffic on to the line.

The route should be set in the BR Blue and early sectorisation era as this would allow a large amount of stock already in TS2019 to be used on the route. Problems with licenses for different TOC's have stopped the production of newer trains so by adopting the earlier time period of 1975 - 1990 this can be avoided whilst still providing verity of operation. And making the route in an earlier form would allow a modern version of the line to be made without too many problems

Non of the route was Electrified at this time and the line was signalled with Absolute Block and Semaphore signalling. Only around Manchester, Huddersfield, Leeds and York stations were main colour light installations found.

    The locos used on the line were Classes 08, 24, 25, 31, 37, 40, 45, 46, 47, 55 & 56

The Deltics appeared towards the end of their career when displaced from the ECML by HST's

    Dmu's of Class 101, 104, 105, 110, 123 & 124
Class 124 units were associated with the route from introduction until the express trains were made loco hauled and would be a great new train to be released with the route.

Creating a route set in the BR Blue era would take some time to research but DTG have already done the work with the upcoming release of the Manchester to Leeds line in TSW

I believe this would be a good British route for TS2019 and beyond.

Great Idea for this route to be in days of greater Manchester Passenger traffic

I'm not from Great Britian. But british railways are one of my favourite. Espicialy of period from later 50'th to 1980'th. Because they have special atmosphere and excelent rolling stocks design. Deltics, Tractors and Whistlers - are one of my favourite diesel engines from United Kingdoom.

Strange that you bumped a suggestion for a now created route to Leeds. Now exists in TSW in the 80s and present-day in TSC.

All true but the most important part of the original suggestion has not been done that is the time period which would make it much more interesting to operate than the present, freight traffic now being a rarity.

The section gets a small amount of activity such that it's not really a "bump" when it's still one of the top three or four threads on the list.
