Hey everyone I grew up in the S-Bahn Rhein-Neckar network and that makes the Pfälzische Ludwigsbahn route kinda special to me. That's why I decided to dedicate my first timetable project to this route. I want to try (!!) to create the modern 2025 timetable. I'm very aware of issues due to the era (for example missing platforms 11/12 in Mannheim Hbf or no FLIRT 3 for the Süwex RE1). But I still want to try to learn to make a timetable. My timetable will be based on the Kursbuch for KBS670, public timetable data, and internal tools. For now, I want to share my pre-planning progress with you (these are the playable services): I am unsure what to use as stock on the RE1 line. I like the idea of using a 111+n-Wagen as a sort of fictional replacement situation (similar to what TRI offer). But I'm open to suggestions! Great! I'm excited to see what you can get out of this route Regarding the FLIRT - maybe you could use the LZN FLIRT in a fitting repaint in your timetable? I'm pretty sure that's possible, as Vindicity shows on their HMA timetable I wouldn't mind not having PZB. Some (but not all) RE1 could be 111+n-Wagen, so you can really get the impression these are replacements. Maybe you can utilise Hannahs TRI repaints for it?
Not sure if that's a good idea. The Flirts on München Augsburg are used as AI only for most of the services, or pretty short stabling runs and towards Pasing. I'd rather see something else (even if it's a 425 again) on those services with working destinations and safety systems.
