When you finish the tutorials for each loco, it says there is more info in the manual, where is said manuals? Thanks Warri
There is a thread about this 10 below this one!! Anyway, https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/tsw-manuals-and-timetables.13777/
Good question, warrilad! The thread that KiwiLE provided is quite valuable, but I've never understood why TSW route user manuals do not download along with the route, as happens with TS routes. If this can be accomplished with one of DTG's train simulators, why not with the other?
I've seen such a link occasionally, but not always, which is also true of manual links on TS sales pages. So your "kinda" is very appropriate. However, I'd still like to know why the TSW user manuals don't simply download automatically along with the product, as has always happened with TS.
Particularly on console where Steam isn't a thing. Ideally they should be displayed on each locos information and selection screen. Also any relevant to the routes would be beneficial as well. On console we are kinda left in the dark. Maybe 2020 might have this feature, there's mention of better tutorials. Here's hoping. While on the subject of manuals etc. Is there a keyboard shortcut list anywhere - preferably one that can be displayed or printed out. I know there is information on the individual routes and loco manuals but I was just wondering if there was just an overall keyboard info sheet available.
Most manuals do include a full page chart devoted to "Default English Keyboard Controls", but the list is not always complete or accurate. Just to cite one example, the keyboard control chart for any DLC that includes the Class 101 engine claims that Ctrl + A and Ctrl + D change the gear setting, but this certainly has never worked for me.
Agreed a lot of us would like to see the manuals to download when the route is installed just like TS2020 does.
I just download the manuals to a Folder on my Dropbox account — then I can access them from any of my machines when I need to review anything. I have integrated Dropbox in to my file explorer and have the folders synchronized so it is the same as having them download with the route — always accessible if I am on line or not. The cloud — what a wonderful thing
