Hi to all, I am quite satisfied with CTS Tram. However there are many issues that needs correction. As a former Bus- and Metrodriver in Rotterdam with over 12 years of experience in public transport (NL) and in totally over 35 years driving in passenger transport. I discover and know exactly what is lacking the simulation. This simulator is not a game but reflects reality as it is. These are: - It is impossible to set up a tram route/line that runs only during peak hours. 07.00 - 09.00 and from 15.00 - 18.00 (example) - It is impossible to set up monday-friday shifts, saturday-shifts and sun/holiday shifts. - It is impossible to specify a end-of-shift time past midnight the next day. - It is impossible to have time table variations. - Lack of variation in service frequency. More trams during peak hours and less trams during off-peak. - Trams should be visible in the depot and tram yard when not in use. - At terminuses you can't designate trams to a desired platform when more tracks and platforms are present. - While driving you must yield to cars.....!!!!!! even when cars turns into a different road/street or direction. Major rule (The Highway Code): Tram has priority over road traffic. Road traffic must yield to a tram. Exceptions are: When a car blocks a tram in the same direction of travel and is about to turn left or right in front of the tram, or when a tram enteres a priority road. - Severall ghost (invisable) trams you run in to, resulting in the message "You collided........" while there is nothing on front of the tram you drive. - All traffic lights are equipped with tram lights! not very realistic....!!!!!! Streets with merged traffic doesn't need separate tram traffic lights. - No AI buses, but still AI trains and AI road traffic. - No list with destinations mounted in the cabin except in the Düwag trams. - Manuals hard to read due to centered text, letters too small. - No special equipped service cars/trams due to maintenance works on the depot. - Some terminuses are straight on the road. Not realistic. - No toilet buildings with a small canteen at terminuses. You can't grab a hot or cold drink at any terminus. At least these service buildings for tram drivers should be present at every terminus. - No possibility to report to the dispatcher when starting a shift by voice. - No Multiplayer. CTS Tram is now 3rd in range of simulators from DTG lacking the option of Multiplayer......!!!!!!!! TSC and TSW# still doesn't have that option and numerous times mentioned throughout the years) - No ability to exchange broken trams due to the lack of trams in the tram depots. It is quite a list. I discovered the same issues as with TSW# and TSC and I regret to say this: The same negative results due to death lines that needs to be achieved. Best regards,
We shouldn't expect too much immersion from CTS Tram. But you're right. It could be much more visually appealing: - Missing busses and trucks, - No AI people with bags or luggage, - No AI in the markets, - No weather settings yet, - A completely dark (!) main station at night - The night lighting is simply poor - allways empty train depots - Still some illogical traffic light sequences. - No option to ride as a passenger (like TSW) in the Tram I've significantly reduced my expectations in this regard.
