Map Points Don’t Work

For about a year now I’ve been unable to set the points via the map screen. It says press X to change but the points DO NOT change. This is a MAJOR inconvenience and results in some scenarios being unplayable. Am I doing something wrong?
TSW4 on PS5.

 

What map points

 

Are you talking about the Go-Via points in Sandbox Paths or a railway switch?

 

Also if talking about railway points, you can't go through the pause menu, you have to do this in the live map screen.

 

i ve had same issue ..i usually do like conductor in real life walk to change switches make sure they right before i go

Yes.
Press "9" on the keyboard to access the live map to change points/switches.
Do not access the map via the pause screen to change the points, as this will not work.

i play on x box use controller not sure which button on ps5 one ..but on my x box controller there 3 buttons in middle i ha to press the left one with 2 squares on it its the same button you press for when in free roam to set path
