Two questions for those of us on Xbox:

1 - Are you going to fix the bug regarding the acknowledgement of safety systems not working in the Rosenheim-Salzburg version of the 766.2?

Currently, you still can't use either SIFA or PZB on the 766.2 (same with the Kassel-Wurzburg version too if remembering correctly) as the acknowledge button via the Xbox controller doesn't work frustratingly.

2 - When will the artifact/shapes that appear with the Eanos wagons when in motion finally be fixed (see pic below for reference) for those of us on Xbox? This doesn't seem to be an issue on PC or PlayStation so it's unfair for this to remain an issue on Xbox any longer.

 

1. Weren't there three german routes on the roadmap since TSW4 release? Have I missed one being taken off? We got Maintalbahn at first, Rosenheim-Salzburg at second (as it's mostly german) and the third? Oh or it's still in the 6+ months section perhaps, where did that one go now?
2. Perhaps new added plans for a possible Railjet? As you very specifically mentioned it being requested so many times, and that we should be patient or something.
3. When new ICE?

 

Are you finally going to look at sorting the HUD settings so they don't reset every time you exit the game? I like playing with the Minimal HUD but it always reverts to the Normal HUD and I'm getting sick of changing it every time I load TSW.

 

Are you any further looking into full keyboard support for consoles? Key binding etc. Keyboard commands showing in the menu.

 

When tsw5 coming out!? And what is core routes?

 

Are any ÖBB 1116 timetable services planned for S-Bahn Vorarlberg?
There are many missing RJ or REX services. The route feels a bit empty on the austrian side.

Why are only 4 ÖBB 1116 services planned for Salzburg-Rosenheim? Please add more as this is a major route for austrian trains.

 

We don't really need 7 or 8 versions of the Class 66, BR185 and BR766 trains in our library.

Can we just have ONE of each locomotive updated to the latest version, instead of outdated multiples of the same locomotives?

 

Any updates on the new San Bernardino route and the other us route and when will the formation designer is coming to Xbox series s soon and any freight service is going to be on the new San Bernardino route

Can we have a genuine answer/apology for the state of steam. I don't mean physics or no new content I mean the promises we bought the two routes on which haven't materialised and have been swept under the rug?

No Blood and Custard formations in timetable
No custom liveries in timetable
No difficulty levels/manual firing
Steam still floating through the cabs
Wheelslips at speed.
Safety valves.

 

Any update on the work to bring announcements to your routes?

 

1. Will the ÖBB Taurus have modern displays or analog displays?
2. Are there any possibilities of adding the passenger version of the BR 193 Vectron?
3. Are there any plans to add the High-Entry Dosto at any point?

 

Probably not an update as of yet since we talked on this last month but worth a ask, but liking to be kept up to date on any development with Z-Fighting and how the lead the Vehicle Artist is getting along with the solution when their is updates to give.

Hoping you manage to get to the core issue, train by train would not only be time consuming but doesn’t stop it coming up for a new dlc or 3rd party, and with the amount of places it may be difficult to find them all on the current collection that way.

Any news on München-Augsburg, so that the BR 420 can release?

 

What QA measures/oversight are being applied on Rivet's work on Fife Circle, given concerns expressed about sound and physics on the 170, to ensure once again they are not selling us an inferior product?

Why is the very short, one train Goblin/Suffragette Line being priced at £25 for a route that has very limited replay value?

Any update on release date for the Class 104 DMU?

Where do you honestly see TSW going forward given...
1. The admission that steam traction is no longer being worked on.
2. The hiatus on North American freight railroads.
3. The ever increasing list of fixes that both the core and DLC need (a post just today indicating one of your oldest products Rapid Transit is still in a very poor state).
4. Do you honestly expect customers are just going to continue to hand over £25 or £30 for poor value or poor quality content?

Can you confirm or deny TSW5 is actively being worked on as a now annual paid update to the programme?

Can you confirm or deny you are looking at a subscription model similar to Trainz Gold or Platinum membership?

 

Any updates on the AI PIS bug that is still an issue on SEHS?

Not fully supported. Unable to change keyboard commands. Matt has mentioned in some of the live streams they were going to look into making the keyboard commands available in the game menu.

 

Update on the Glossop bug preventing half of the services being done. This has been this way since TSW4 launch. Not really good enough tbh.

 

Can you advise on the scoring on UK freight locos(namely 66 on ECML & 47 on Blackpool) that aren’t recognising that the safety systems have been switched on, subsequently making platinums unachievable on several services.

 

I hope there are a few announcements on what is being developed for future releases, as well as knowledge of a release date of any releases before next months roadmap after the Goblin goes live on the 19th.

 

Do you plan on unifying keybinds? Newer DLCs have different default binds and allow you to modify them yourself, the older ones do not. An example would be the GWR HST vs the MML HST, having the AWS acknowledge button be E instead of Q like it is on more recent stuff is rather confusing.

Will DTG rethink the locking of chapters in journey mode.

The reason being is that those of us that purchased Berninalinie still cannot access most of the chapters due to Rivet incompetence and desire to fix their routes and DTG lapse in proper testing

 

Will you guys ever consider doing more TFL routes in the near future?
With the TFL license what does it mean for TSW as a whole?

• Like OldVern, I’d also like to inquire about the overarching plan for TSW. Steam is dead and no 3rd parties seem to be in a position to save it and it seems North American freight is next on the chopping block. Is there more content facing the axe?
  
  
• Salzburg - Rosenheim was well received as was the Br 111. Will we see more similar German semi-vintage routes with older locos or hopefully even more real vintage routes like LFR?

 

• Is there a new Preservation Crew Project planned to bring older routes to TSW4 standard?
• Can we expect to see more German/Austrian border routes in the near future to further use synergies on the existing rolling stock for the two countries?

 

Keyboard works on consoles? At least it does on the PS5 and Series X. Just plug it in and it behaves as PC as far as I am aware. Mouse works too.

 

They explained in the past that upgrading all the routes is a ton of work so there are no plans other than passion projects done in a devs own free time. It can take up to a month in some cases

- Are there currently plans tpo bring some of the older routes up to TSW standard, like it's been done with Dresden-Riesa recently?

 

On PS5 is there anything going on with the game freezing when changing from Front Camera view to Rear? The game will freeze on intermediate loading screen. Mainly with consists 50+ cars long. When you tell the console to quit game it will announce that the game had crashed. I always send the reports but never know where they go...

Any new for Munich Augsburg for optimisation to get more layers on and to have lastbgen console users to have a increased timetable? (to current levels)

Biggest issue for me at the moment is the hud settings not saving on PS5 - is this being looked at at all?

is the camera movement speed issue on PS5 also being looked at with plans to resolve soon?

Fife Circle - whilst what we have seen is WIP, we have also seen that WIP does not always differ from the full release. Considering that, is any action being taken to address the class 170? Rivet are making a habit out of producing sub par rolling stock & I would hope that DTG are offering them the same support as with Skyhook in this regard.

 

Would like to cite from the answer in this post to the February roadmap:

Not really happy to here that there will be no further improvements to the Editor in the next few months (I already can guess probably until TSW5 will get released). But if it's not possible it is not possible.

However, I have a second issue. These shorter tutorials you talked about to help us did not come yet in the weeks past to last roadmap Q&A stream on 13th of February.

So, I'm thinking about if time is a problem and you can't afford to help us further out with tutorials, I have a few questions or suggestions:

1. In comparison to some official third party developers like Rivet Games, Just Trains and Train Sim Germany, we - the community - does work with the exact same Editor. Community creators only have the public Beta PC Editor available, which is indeed a huge difference for a few (maybe in some cases even essential) tasks in regard to the gameplay of the end product and how we can set up our projects so that people can enjoy and have no issues with them.

Would it at least be possible to provide us the exact same tool the official third party developers can use - the first party Editor also DTG is using? (Maybe even after a contractual agreement not to abuse it - I personally would have no problem with that). Because if we don't have the same tool, many things remain unpracticable or impossible for us.

2. I guess DTG for sure has something like an internal documentation you share amongst first but also third party developers regarding some quality aspects/standards and maybe even some obligated ways of work for specific tasks within the project. Could we have a view on these?

These 2 things already would help a lot for us, and with that it isn't even necessary to give us your precious time you need to fix bugs and develope the core game further. It also would ake the communication and maybe even shar of work between third party creators and community creators a lot easier.

 

1. Can we get a fix for the driver of the 112/143/155 always spawning in bald?
2. Can the F125 display be fixed so it actually works for showing tractive effort/light status/bell status?
3. Can the floating buildings on Antelope Valley be lowered down?
4. Can the rear doors on the 377 on BML be fixed?
5. Any news on the many class 801 Azuma issues being fixed?

 

Why are there just two northern germany routes?
I would wish for more content from Schleswig-Holstein or Hamburg.
Is there a chance to get something like this or is the main focus on the south part of germany?

 

Realistically when can we expect a response the survey that DTG recently sent out and what chances are thst any suggestions will be implemented?

 

What is the reason for less loco DLC or loco addon packs for routes? and/or why are more new routes preferred over rolling stock?

Edit: Q2: It's a shame the preservation crew got dropped and route upgrades became passion projects. But what is the status or the companies look at bugs and problems. Some general ones being missing OHLE and poles in the track. Flying scenery etc. Those seem to be stuff that won't take 4 years to fix. Are there plans to release big patches for those things, are forum complaints about this listed somewhere to be looked at or are these generally ignored? There are a small country of people complaining about those problems, existing on new and old routes. And it seems like an answer or communication about the status or workflow has never been given.

 

Any news on what caused the graphical issues on xBox One S and whether they will be fixed?
And will new routes come with the moon on a stick? Several people on here have asked for the moon on a stick and they haven't been listened to!

 

Are we going to get a somewhat realistic IC route? Like 120-140 km between 2 locations and we need to drive an IR / IC loco for either German or Austrian route. I'd love to feel like truly driving an IC train. The kassel route is really long but almos the whole time it's the same scenary like in a loop. Perfect for the ICE feeling of going over 250kmh but no so much for IC trains that do 200kmh.

 

One more from me...

Will the £25 Goblin Line be used as a springboard for a larger North London network, starting with the NLL itself and later rebuilding the Bakerloo and Euston to Watford DC lines in? Or is it another disjointed unimaginative fire and forget project?

That might just make it worth the asking price particularly if the early adopters got a discount on subsequent sections.

 

I want to second OldVern's question regarding steam and its future. I think all of us who have a keen interest in steam, who have supported it and believe that what DTG said they would fix/improve would be done, deserve a better explanation now as to why it has just got put on a back burner with a rather dismissive and somewhat muted comment from Alex (and silence from Matt) in the February Roadmap stream.

 

In a similar vein, the 'coming soon' article for the London Overground Suffragette line refers to the "distinctive... large interchange station" at Barking. The majority of services and platforms at that station derive from the London, Tilbury & Southend line (aka c2c) and TfL District and Hammersmith & City Tube lines. Will this release be used as a starting point for developing the c2c line (an end-to-end route that has had various threads in the Suggestions forum) and a Tube line with S7 Stock?
