I think this has happened since the update on Xbox One. Every boilie, bait and even lures attract Red Pacu now, Instead of sticking to their diet of fruits, nuts and vegetables. I fish all times of day from the third pier to the left on the top, left hand side of the lake. They bite off of savory boilies, such as, Royal Marine and Scopex Squid boilies. Meat baits like worms and Frenzy Hemp and Snails. Both catfish baits and even a crankbait once. I never catch anything of size, except a few SF. I dont think the bosses are biting them, but the little ones are really a nuisance. I run a size 2 Ridgeback Ronnie Rig on 40.5 test line. I use a 10' Bank Cat S with the tournament reel. I cast 20-40 yards out at depths of 5-12 feet.
