Hi! I'm not talking about freezes or stutters. Like the title says there is a massive FPS drops for no reason. Any routes, even TSW2 routes. Commonly I've got 50-60 FPS in average, but in TSW3 sometimes its falls down to 20 FPS just in the middle of a naked plains without trafic for 10-20 seconds. Then slowly got back to 50 for couple minutes, then again falls down to 30 for 15 seconds.
Sometimes I've got 60 FPS on a big station, but 22 FPS in the middle of nowhere.
I've tried to play with settings, lowering them down, and eventually got 25 FPS during those drops instead of 20.
Mostly noticed in scenarios with a bad rainy weather. Never happened at night(with any weather conditions).

Unfortunately I have to agree. It's not quite as bad as your case, thank you, but it's really annoying with the burglaries

Im afraid the performance on pc has been the same since train sim world. I gave up on pc after train sim world 2. I want a smooth run and it just doesn't happen its immersion breaking. So i brought a playstation 5 and was amazed how smooth the driving experience was but sadly as time has gone on those dreaded stutters started to appear. And now train sim world 3 is here and it's worse than train sim world 2 terrible driving experience low fps around stations and when trains dive by. You can have a high end pc and still plays terrible. I think a lot of people put up with it and think it's ok just like dtg but it's not good enough it's 2022. I have hundreds of games and never seen a stutter.

    What routes are you on?

If it is a German route there is at least one bug I’ve reported and narrowed down which is caused by AI Dosto trains that have their interior cabin lights on. They will absolutely MURDER your FPS and seemed to be bugged on every platform. If one of those is nearby that is going to cause FPS issues. That said there are 7 different Dosto models in the game from different DLC and the problem seems to be with the older ones so it depends which one is on the route.

Outside of that I tend to see drops when there are more than 2 trains at a station dumping out a large number of passengers but not sure if there is a way around that.
