    I say this because I realized I had 4 different modified engine.ini files and had no clue as to which one the game was using so commented all of them out and let the game build a new default one. To begin, my system, which is now 1 year old, is a basic gaming machine with an Intel i9 9900 processor at 3.6 ghz, there is 32 GB DDR on the mother board and the game is loaded on an SSD. Graphic is from an NVidia Geoforce 3070 with 8 MB GDDR6 memory. I run 4K and all setting are max or close, my foliage is set to high not ultra.
    Now prior to letting the programme rebuild the ini file, I was getting frame rates in the 20's - 40's with stuttering. Once I started after the redbuild I was looking at 60's - 90's except close to Cheyenne and Laramie where it got down to the 30's at times. Stuttering was markedly reduced with a few short, less then 1 sec, ones over the route. Yes, I was watching things draw in the distance, but this performance was amazing for this route.

    I'd hardly call it a " basic " gaming machine, Sharon E. ;) Much more powerful than mine. I have the original engine.ini and get acceptable frame rates in the 40's mostly and hardly any stuttering.

    For me, the only vital engine.ini tweak is the:

    [/Script/Engine.UserInterfaceSettings]
    ApplicationScale=0.500

    to reduce the size of the HUD.

    The HUD size can be adjusted in the settings which is where I have it as small.

    The command they are referring to drops the size even more and makes the HUD a heck of a lot less intrusive. The downside to the command is that it changes the HUD size in Livery Designer which means some buttons are not clickable so the command has to be removed when doing anything in Livery Designer.

    Not small enough. Even with the setting set to small the HUD is still pretty large, especially for those of us who sit relatively close to their screen and/or have a big screen with high resolution.
