I did give a suggestion a while back about a portal in shared stations like Brighton and Hagen, whereby you could have a waiting room that you entered. Something like the doors that you have in stations on the Edinburgh Glasgow route. Once inside, you turn around to leave and you are asked which route you want, this choice would depend on which routes you have loaded. It would be in the same timestamp, so you could get off one train, nip in and out of the waiting room and jump onto a train on the different route. Not quite the same as a joined route, but not far off. There do seem to be plenty of doors in the stations that could be used as the portal. I obviously don't know the technical feasibility of all this, but maybe worth looking into? Thanks
