Take charge of brand-new American diesel power with the HSP46 locomotive, now available in MBTA Commuter: Boston - Framingham/Worcester Line! MBTA Commuter builds on the types of operation previously seen the Boston - Providence route Add-on but taking things west towards the city of Worcester, MA. In addition to the classic F40PH-3C locomotives and Single-level cars from the previous Boston route, a brand-new locomotive to Train Sim World is available in the form of the HSP46. This sleek diesel powered loco features a more modern cab and stop-start functionality to a bring a more contemporary feel to the trains of Boston and beyond. The new Bi-level cars also add more authenticity to the route, with mixed consists appearing on services as they do across a number of MBTA's Commuter Rail lines. Along the way, players will be able to ferry baseball fans to Lansdowne and Fenway Park, then off to the Massachusetts suburbs via Framingham, before arriving at the Commonwealth State's second biggest city: Worcester. Fans of other US Train Sim World route Add-ons will be able to utilise their collection to add a host of freight services to the route, including unusual MBTA flat car trains and local CSX freight services between Framingham and Worcester. The Add-ons required to unlock all additional freight services are: Sand Patch Grade BNSF SD70ACe loco Add-on Sherman Hill Horseshoe Curve Cajon Pass Additional Amtrak passenger services can also be unlocked with: Northeast Corridor: Boston-Providence Amtrak's Acela® loco Add-on We previously indicated that all layers would be available for all platforms. These players will now not get the Amtrak's Acela® services, most of which are AI services. We apologies for any inconvenience caused. Not available on Microsoft Store, keeps referring me to Boston Providence. Searched Train Sim World 5 MTBA Boston commuter!!! The above is what l get continually. It’s never easy with Microsoft. Harry a link would be useful please.
Hello! Just checking this now, it seems to be a Microsoft store issue. What browser are you using for it? This link works for me, but others are having an issue with it: https://www.microsoft.com/store/productId/9N8J2BZDB9BX
Harry, l searched on my iphone using Bing as well as Google and my laptop using both. It is still the same now at 11.10, as it was before stating the service is unavailable on Microsoft Store. I am glad you supplied the link.
Are there any add ons from MBTA to other routes? Or only add layers that go into MBTA from those other routes?
The only other mbta route is boston sprinter but it's not been set up for substitution and layers from the framingham/worcester line. And the new line already has the content anyway so wouldn't need layers from the old route. Boston commuter only gets freight and amtrak layers but no layering on other dlc
Boston Commuter doesn't have the HSP-46. I don't know if it should be usable on the Boston Sprinter, but it'd be nice. It's a nice looking loco and in the right livery.
Enjoying the route so far, especially the detailed scenery!!! They finally figured out US highway signs and did a great job on the weathering in the Back Bay tunnels and overall griminess of a major American city. Whoever was in charge of art design should be assigned to every American route IMO.
Wow, that looks a LOT better... very realistically bright it seems! Come to think of it, by that sign I think I've driven that road before when we went to Boston.
Apparently the F40PH-3C has new engine sounds that were hidden in the files. Spacey Kat has made a mod that uses them. https://www.trainsimcommunity.com/m...atches/i5439-bow-f40ph-small-enhancement-pack
Don't have the route but I have to admit, those signs are impressive and it is about time that we left behind the one stock sign that was previously on all US routes and made absolutely no sense.
Just purchased on Microsoft store and started downloading to my series x ..internet slow so hopefully will be able to play tomorrow .i have all the dlc s for freight layers looking forward to doing both passenger and freight services..
Quick wee question here - does anyone know where the alerter switch is located on the double deck CTC cab cars? Can’t seem to find it though I do know where it it for the single deck variant
