Merseyrail The Merseyrail third rail network has 68 stations and 75 miles of route, of which 6.5 miles are underground it forms the most heavily used urban railway network in the UK outside London Which is something that may interest alot of UK TSW players because they tend to want a UK route outside of London which I can understand Merseyrail operates on 2 lines One being the northern line Services operate on three services on this line: Hunts Cross to southport 3tph Hunts Cross, Liverpool South Parkway, Cressington, Aigburth, St Michaels, Brunswick, Liverpool Central, Moorfields, Sandhills, Bank Hall, Bootle Oriel Road, Bootle New Strand, Seaforth & Litherland, Waterloo, Blundellsands & Crosby, Hall Road, Hightown, Formby, Freshfield, Ainsdale, Hillside, Birkdale and Southport Liverpool Central to Ormskirk 3 tph Liverpool Central, Moorfields, Sandhills, Kirkdale, Walton, Orrell Park, Aintree, Old Roan, Maghull, Maghull North, Town Green, Aughton Park and Ormskirk Liverpool Central to kirkby 3 tph Liverpool Central, Moorfields, Sandhills, Kirkdale, Rice Lane, Fazakerley and Kirkby The second line is the wirral line Service include Liverpool Lime Street to New brighton 3tph Liverpool Lime Street, Liverpool Central, Moorfields, Liverpool James Street, Birkenhead Hamilton Square, Conway Park, Birkenhead Park, Birkenhead North, Wallasey Village, Wallasey Grove Road and New Brighton Liverpool Lime Street to West kirby 3tph Liverpool Lime Street to, Liverpool Central, Moorfields, James Street, Hamilton Square, Conway Park, Birkenhead Park, Birkenhead North, Bidston, Leasowe, Moreton, Meols, Manor Road, Hoylake and West kirby Liverpool Lime Street to chester 3tph Liverpool Lime Street, Liverpool Central Moorfields, James Street, Hamilton Square, Birkenhead Central, Green Lane, Rock Ferry, Bebington, Port Sunlight, Spital, Bromborough Rake, Bromborough, Eastham Rake, Hooton, Capenhurst, Bache and chester Liverpool Lime Street to Ellesmere Port 3tph Liverpool Lime Street, Liverpool Central Moorfields, James Street, Hamilton Square, Birkenhead Central, Green Lane, Rock Ferry, Bebington, Port Sunlight, Spital, Bromborough Rake, Bromborough, Eastham Rake, Hooton, Little Sutton, Overpool and Ellesmere Port Each route operates a train every 15 minutes from Monday to Saturday, giving a frequent interval between trains on the central section. Ok enough of Wikipedia I am suggesting this route and TOC because from my knowledge Merseyrail has never been released to any DTG game (TS1/ TSW) I think this route is quite different from others because of the underground stations and It uses 3rd rail This is a commuter route. This route would come with both the Class 507 'PEP' And Class 508 'PEP' Both are 3 cars and have a top speed of 75 mph There is little to no external or internal differences between the two trains but would make sense having both of them Potential add ons would include The class 777 Which has the same top speed as the PEPs but has 4 carriages There are 2 Depots Birkenhead North Kirkdale TMD And Hall road Which has now been demolished If I have missed anything which I don't think I have please let me know
Nice suggestion, wow 68 stations !! I would really be excited to see this on TSW. I'm in love with class 507, with its big headlights it looks like a kitten hahaha. Greetings.
Thank you With 68 stations and 75 miles of track I cam imagine DTG would be able to make a lot of scenarios out of this
It's either the Wirral line or the Northern line, making both as part of the same DLC is most likely too big a project.
Merseyrail is made up of 3 lines, not 2. These are: Northern Line (Blue) Wirral Line (Green) City Line (Red) The City line if set in the modern-day could also have the possibility of bringing: Class 802 Class 68+MK V Coaches+MK V DVT Class 185 Class 397 Class 319 Class 323 Class 331 Class 195 Class 158 Class 153 Class 350 Here is a map of the Merseyrail Network:
Yes but Merseyrail only uses 2 of these lines While other TOCs use the city line Thats why it was not mentioned
Merseyrail outsources the City Line to external TOC's. Merseyrail do still use the lines. Just not with the 507 and 508's
Yes but I didn't include I because it wasn't needed and I am suggesting a route with the 507s and 508s which doesn't include the city line
MerseyRail manage the city line and stations. Technically, it is MerseyRail, but in reality it's all but a regular national rail line.
