Would like to see a Merseyrail add on with any of the routes with the class 507/508 and 777. Does anyone know if there is any plans to create a Merseyrail add on?
Good opportunity for a network style route. Although it needs to be set in the transition era between the 507/508 and 777.
I think with the 313 and 314 already in-game I don’t know how people would respond to another two units of the same type really. Think of it like all the Electrostars at that point and with them being phased out I really doubt Merseyrail would allow their branding on older train stock they’re removing over newer stock especially with the one train per route thing that most new routes follow.
Eh, they're different though, as they aren't one-handle EMUs. That ought to please somebody regardless of similarities. Besides, there'd be outcry if there was only the 777 I'd wager.
good idea though shame the Blackpool north route is set in the 80's could of used the class 507/508 on the route starting at Liverpool central ending at Ormskirk and at Ormskirt have a AI class 142 in the old northern livery waiting at the station
Ormskirk is a small station I doubt they would have any trouble remodelling it but expecting a class 142 in northern is unreasonable and pretty sure that would require remodelling parts of the train as I doubt they 80s version is anything like the 2010s~ version and also I’m pretty sure that old one is part of a licensed brand too? So it would have to be unbranded at a minimum but still better off not including it at all in a modern merseyrail northern line route.
not unreasonable at all it could be done the interior can be done without issue also DTG have the northern brand any way so they can use the old northern livery it would feel empty at Ormskirt if there wasn't a pacer or a class 150 sprinter
The class 142 left the northern fleet as soon as current Northern took over as the TOC and they never made it into the northern livery today so I don’t think the license would help with that unbranded is fine but even then a modern merseyrail route wouldn’t have a class 142 anyway? They would likely involve the class 777 so that brings in conflicting time periods
if you look at youtube videos you will see the class 507 or class 508 with a pacer at the station that wore the old northern livery ill try earth a photo or a Youtube vid doesn't need to be set in modern day
I’m just saying the likelihood of a class 777 not being included in a merseyrail dlc would be very low and as such wouldn’t be able to have a class 142 involved anyway!
I would take a class 142 over a class 777 any day I am not one for one handle trains its weird looking i'll give it that
