Metra F40phm-2

The Metra F40PHM-2 is a Passenger Diesel Locomotive which was built in 1991-1992 and It was used for Commuter Service for The BNSF, RI and Southwest Service. It was later Converted to F40PHM-3 in 2017. I think This Locomotive will be a perfect addition to The Chicago Racetrack Route.

I put up a thread for additional Metra content last April but it didn't get too far.

 

DTG probably doesn't want to do Metra content since that would involve BNSF licensing (look at the Racetrack DLC). Best bet is a community-led project.

 

I've never actually understood whether Metra themselves extended licensing rights.

 

Doesn't seem like it because BNSF logos are included in the US release of the Racetrack DLC but Metra logos are not.

I was going to build an EMD F40PHM-2 and some new double-decker cars with a cabin, which I left unbuilt since they are the ones that are most seen passing through the Aurora Route to Chicago and not the EMD F40PH I still have it in mind but still it won't be finished I have to learn more things to be able to do it and pass it to the TSC
