Well, On my first post I made about this route. I didn’t have enough room to add other stuff. So in this other half. I’m going to add the rest of the other unmentioned things in this thread. Some things that should be added must include actual CPKC, CP, and KCS branded rolling stock. Another thing that needs to be mentioned is that the earlier GEVO’s were equipped with mechanical bells where as the newer ones were equipped with electronic bells. More pictures and videos of the suggested locomotives and the route for reference material. An ES44AC in Canadian Pacific livery. Note: From what I heard, the first batch of GEVO’s that Canadian Pacific purchased were equipped with desktop controls in order to make things easier for crews since they were still accustomed to the AC4400CW’s. This is the cab interior. This is the cab interior of the newer GEVO’s that were bought when Canadian Pacific was still around. I also suggest that the ES44AC’s should also have CPKC’s new paint job that they unveiled a year ago. I actually think it’s an alright paint job. And last but not least. The cab interior of a Metra Gallery Cab Car. Always. That’s all I need to say. Thanks
I agree; CPKC's new paint scheme is pretty nice. If this Metra route is added, I'd love the SC44 and ALC-42 Chargers to be added to the game. I'd also suggest CPKC's SD70ACUs (in standard, military, and heritage liveries), SD30C-ECOs (rebuilt SD40-2s with 12-710 Prime Movers), GP20C-ECOs (rebuilt GP9s with 8-710 Prime Movers), and of course, Metra locomotives and rolling stock. The ES44AC and AC4400CW(M) would be cool to see on this route too (since we already have both locomotives in game with the CSX AC4400CW and NS ES44AC).
And another thing that I forgot to mention. Amtrak’s NPCU F40PH units should be also be a part of the included locomotives that come with the route. For those who don’t know about the NPCU’s, they are Amtrak F40PH units that were converted into cab cars between 1993 and 2001. After Amtrak’s Genesis locomotives entered service, they began to retire their fleet of F40’s. However, rather than sending their surplus amount of F40’s to the cutter’s torch, Amtrak decided to rebuild 25 of their old F40’s into Non Powered Control Units or NPCU for short. They’re basically standard F40PH’s, but they don’t have prime movers, alternators, traction motors among other parts. A roll up door was installed on the side to accommodate for baggage car service which eventually earned them the nickname “cabbage”. A combination of the words cab and baggage. This is what an NPCU looks like. It’s just a standard Amtrak F40PH that’s been converted into a cab car. the cab interior.
