So as many of you know metro north is coming out to TSW2 and I’m also very excited as well but I would really enjoy if you guys can add a P32-AC/DM and because you guys already have it in train Simulator 2022 I’m guessing it would be easy for you to add and I know this is a all electric Third rail route but it will still be cool to have I think I speak for a lot of people that say we would like to have this in the game Thanks for reading the suggestion and have a good day/night

For the Harlem Line these run the Direct Services to or from Wassaic electric mode start Brewster down to Grand Central Terminal.

Like I said I know they’re not going to add more track so I am just expecting just the train itself

They actually only run electric mode pretty much in the terminal and the Park Ave. tunnel. Once the trains are out in open air they change over to diesel by 125th, and to electric there when inbound. The dual modes are notoriously bad runners when in e-mode, so they are run as diesels whenever possible.

My thinking was that P32s run like DM30AC NJCL & Raritan Valley Line ALP-45DPs run them on electric mode up to the last electrified station them run diesel from there. DM30AC Ronkonkoma Central Branch trips run to Babylon & Bethpage diesel Central Branch RVL NJ Transit to Newark Penn then Diesel to High Bridge some trips to Raritan NJCL Diesel Bay Head Long Branch Electric mode North of Long Branch.

Nope, the P32s are awful on third rail. Amtrak's units are getting to the point where they have trouble on the third rail in Penn.

But like I said if they’re not adding track expansion packs it would at least be nice to have so we have more trains to play with

I don't disagree. I'm a huge advocate for having these in game. Developing a Genesis model opens up potential for any future Amtrak routes as well, seeing as they are still the dominant North American passenger diesel. Obviously a P32 is different from a P40 or P42, but assets can be tweaked as needed. The big hurdle is getting the first model in-game.

It will be amazing if they can get the P32AC-DM in TSW2. It should definitely be possible as the devs have the reference material and created it in TS20XX. I also agree, the P32AC-DM operates in electric mode while in the Park Avenue tunnels and diesel mode is usually enabled somewhere between the 97th st portal and Harlem-125th St. In the instance where diesel mode is not working, the P32AC-DM would run in electric mode up the last electrified station, then terminate. In electric mode, the P32AC-DM has a max speed of 60mph, but in electric mode, they have a max design speed of 110mph
