It would be nice if Dovetail Games make this for Train Sim World 5. MTA Metro-North Railroad’s New Haven line route - Starting from Grand Central Terminal for MNRR and Penn Station for Amtrak and ends at New Haven-Union Station or New Haven State Street. Just like they did in Train Simulator Classic, they can do this for TSW5 too. This route is over 70 miles long and the Vintage Budd M2’s and the Modern Kawasaki M8’s have the capabilities for changeover between 3rd rail and overhead catenary wires between Mount Vernon East Station and Pelham Station. Also Metro-North uses the GE P32AC-DM with Shoreliners to go to Danbury Station via the Danbury Branch and Waterbury Station via the Waterbury Branch. In this DLC, we should have Metro-North Budd M2’s, Kawasaki M8’s, GE P32AC-DM’s, and the new Siemens Charger Dual Mode locomotives with Shoreliner Coaches and Cab Cars, Also for Amtrak, we should have the Siemens ACS-64 with Amfleet cars included as well too.

Here are the photos of the trains:

Almost 73 miles with over 30 stations. This is a great route, just like the TS route back in 2015!

Bumping this older thread, would love, LOVE to see the M8's in TSW5 - especially on the New Haven line. New Haven to Grand Central is along the busy Northeast Corridor and would double for Metro-North service and Amtrak's service which Dovetail have already got most of the pieces in-hand with. The M7's are very similar to the M8's as it is; and the M3's are a one-to-one bring over with just a different livery. Toss over Amtrak's fleet in here and you're set. I would happily pay full price for a good rendition of this route from Penn/GC to New Haven.

I believe that the New Haven line would b the best route ever, either TSW 5 or 6. It also has 4 super express services (rush-hours only) between New Haven, CT & Grand Central Terminal in Midtown Manhattan, NYC. With a pair of Connecticut station stops: Stamford & Bridgeport. With New Canaan, Danbury & or Waterbury branch. M2/4/6 train also included. They should added consist option as well: yu can drive 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 or 10 car M2/4/6 or M8 train.

And also in some formations the Kawasaki M8 is 3 car because it has got its own coaches unlike the M2, M2, M3, M7 and the M9 also, the Amtrak HHP 8 and the Amtrak AEM7 run on tat route

If they was to make this route, knowing Dovetail, they would only go as far as Stamford. I mean look at the Harlem Line lol.

I wish I could say you were wrong but... yeahhh...... for gods sake, imagine just a full route from NYP/GC through to Boston South station? Or even just NYP/GC to Springfield would at least be a start, I don't get why they can't commit to a full, real line.

The MNRR Dual-Mode Charger Locos (and other Siemens Chargers for other routes too) are a must-have if this route is made.

Potential Loco DLCs should be BL20GH for Danbury and Waterbury Branch shuttles and CSX SD40-2 for the freight locals that run the line.
