Metrolink Rotem Control Trailer Cab?

    How do I get into the Metrolink Rotem control trailer cab? I can't open the cab door from inside the car.

    Thank you very much. I checked the TSW4 Manual and found this out. Were the original cabs blocked out and new cabs built into the end of the car?

    Not sure I understand your question here but they were built and delivered this way. With the cabs on top like they currently are.

    I think he is asking why they were built like that instead of a normal cab car that’s flat and doesn’t have the bump?

    It has to do with colission/deformation zones.

    There was an severe train accident in april 2002 between a Metrolink train and a freight train (Placentioa train collision) which lead to this design of the Rotem cars.
