I have been watching a YouTuber playing the Metropolitan Line driving the S Tube Stock on TSC and wondered why that can't be ported over to TSW. Obviously without having to pay £30 for an empty route and an additional £20 on top for the train.

As much as I keep suggesting historic London Underground routes from before the 1940s, I still would love to see an S Tube Stock in the game with a modern setting.

Well I don’t think routes can be ported over, TSW and TSC are too different so you might as well built the route from scratch. I don’t think there anything stopping them other than demand, access and licensing.

Two vastly different game engines. If the source models are available in 3D Max or Blender these can probably be used as a basis for TSW but in the case of vehicles I suspect hierarchies etc are totally different.

I do recall Matt P maybe talking about in the early days some sort of converter programme for the route itself, but the results were such it was better to start from scratch. Also most routes in TSW are now built using high detail LIDAR DEM data whereas TSC used 30m or even 90m DEM, low resoultion by comparison.
