I am very disappointed with Microsoft Reward Points. On quite a few occasions I am not rewarded for completing an achievement. This section had been withdrawn during April but today it was re-instated. I had hoped that it would have been improved, but I completed an achievement this morning, which was confirmed in my achievements listing and also a notification on the screen. I opened up Microsoft Rewards on my xbox and clicked on Earn, but no points were added. I tried several times in case it was delayed and later in the day too. As usual I contacted Microsoft Rewards, but as before I never receive a response from them and don’t expect I will again. Is anyone else having this problem?
I agree it is very frustrating and annoying when the system fails to reward you and more so when Microsoft don’t reply or compensate you.
So achievement get you points?I thought you only got reward points when you buy stuff from the store.
Try going back later in the day and click Earn again sometimes it works. However I have noticed if I get an achievement at around midnight (Eastern Time) it will never register using the Earn button.
Just tried, still nothing. Shino Baz. You can use your points towards your purchases. Shame Steam doesn’t do that!
You get it from tons of stuff. you can easily get about £5 a month of store credit just from the various activities.
It was removed for the purpose of retiring it from rewards and moving it into the Game Pass specific "quests" stuff.
Yes I noticed this just today, didn’t get the 50 points I was promised. Every other reward works fine though.
That’s right PE but it appeared today and although it said 50 points, you were not awarded it for your achievement. This has happened a few times before and might have been the reason for retiring it. Microsoft never responded to complaints or compensate you for your loss.
It was clearly unintentional based on the previous month of official statements, for it to appear randomly today. It didn't for me, so it seems to not be a universal glitch.
What I find annoying is when you're on a huge streak and miss a day so go back to 0... Been building my points up for a while now, poised and ready to use them on the PMDG 737 in Microsoft Flight Simulator once it's released.
I don't bother with the daily stuff just the more reasonable weekly ones, where I am currently on a year and a half long streak
The daily rewards are probably more valuable than the weekly ones on the app. Now that the achievements have moved over to Gamepass you might just be able to squeeze £5 out of the app stuff (without the 10 week 2500pt streak bonus), whereas if you religiously do everything Microsoft offer then it's relatively easy to reach 13,000 points per month...and that doesn't include GP quests. By the way, if anyone is looking for a run of easy 50 reward point achievements then 'Merge & Blade' should see you right for quite a while. The only problem is, it's brutally addictive and I found it can be quite difficult to go thru the 'saving an achievement for tomorrow' process.
Two ways: Search for the game in the xbox store and install it that way or select "show all" when you click the Gamepass tab (bottom/left of the screen after pressing the 'home' button on your pad. The first dozen or so achievements are pretty straightforward and will unlock thru 2-3 hours of natural progression but after that it's a bit of a grind earning coins for unlocks/upgrades. If you like the game then it won't present a problem...but if you don't you may as well stop once the easier ones are gotten
Yes. Make sure the daily "play any gamepass game" and earn a gamepass achievement" have reset (around 6pm in the UK) and take your daily 53 points for both. I've just checked and my stats say I've been playing it since 16th April so probably more than 12 easy (ish) achievements from the 34 available. Oh, and don't quit the game 'til your x2 quest notifications appear onscreen.
I think this should be in Off Topic. However, I think the 50 points for an achievement was a one off because there are never any dailies under Game Pass the day before the monthlies refresh. Sadly though, it didn’t work, neither did the Vy for victory punch card. I got the requisite 3 achievements but didn’t get my 500 points.
Sorry to learn you didn’t get your due points either Junior Hornet. It’s disappointing when that happens and Microsoft do nothing to improve it.
