I would like to propose a suggestion for Skyhook regarding their Derby, Nottingham and Leicester route. As we all know, a lot of routes in Train Sim World feel quite “Empty” due to lack of existing stock available in the game. A prime example of this is Birmingham New Street on the Cross City Line. I would like to suggest that Skyhook utilise the Class 158 included in the Midland Mainline pack for the AI services currently missing. From Nottingham, these services include Skegness, Liverpool / Norwich, Mansfield Woodhouse and Worksop. From Derby, it would add the single additional hourly service to Crewe. I am aware that in real life, these services were operated by a mixture of Class 153, 156 & 158 units, and I can understand that seeing all local services being operated by the Class 158 may seem unrealistic and perhaps a little odd, however I think it would still be beneficial and add a little more life into the route. With the exception of the Liverpool & Norwich services, the majority of these services were all operated by 2 car sprinter units (Most of the time.) As a result, should we see a Class 153 or 156 release in the future, they can be substituted in respectively.
I am in agreement with you on the lack of variety. I think the following packs would complete the MML nicely along with some route extensions. Rolling Stock: Passenger Class 153 Class 156 Class 170 Class 222 Freight Class 60 DB Cargo Class 56 DC Rail Route Extensions Nottingham-Lincoln via Newark Castle (include Newark Northgate for services to Cleethorpes/Lincoln) Derby-Sheffield Lincoln-Cleethorpes (Including Immingham and Humber/Lindsey Oil Refinery) Sheffield to Manchester
I think that it would be nice to either: -extend past Nottingham to Newark Northgate .or to Grantham -extend between Syston and Sileby to Peterborough -extend past Derby to: .Sheffield (+ line to Nottingham) .Matlock
While I agree with both suggestions, I created this thread to suggest a possible outcome utilising stock already available. It would be a shame if we had to wait however long for an extension or a DMU pack before the missing AI services get added
