I actually bit the bullet and purchased this route on the back of what Jane has told us.
I'm quite enjoying the route so far so really looking forward to the patch and the extra timetables.
Thank you Jane and the team at SHG for your dedication and commitment.

I think Jayne should set up her own trainsim company, we'd get a truly immersive Simulator instead of rushed out we'll just have to swallow it released rubbish

And which is only needed in the first place because of the ridiculous Sony DLC limit. I don't understand why the other platforms have to be subjected to it.

Also means MML freight probably could have gone live on Xbox same as PC, but that would get the ponies riled up.

I think they're continuing as part of their optimisation process. If there's no need for every single DLC to be mounted then there's no reason for them to be in memory or taking up resources at all.
Also, if they're having to do a loading process in one version of the game (PS) then having to make it work differently in other versions would be a dev headache that isn't needed when all platforms can be "adjusted" even if the other platforms gain less overall

Wasn't there meant to be a post patch announcement update in a hour or so?

Wouldn't be surprised if DTG were deliberately holding it up so they can release it after the Roadmap and be like "Hey look, told you we'd do it, aren't we great."

The "or so" is a caveat, it didn't necessarily mean it would be exactly one hour! Maybe they have decided to wait till the roadmap is released for some reason.

There was an issue with the content manager core code creating issues with the freight layer

    Hey Guys,

As you can see from the roadmap the plan is to release the patch first thing in the morning UK time. I have sat and discussed with DTG JD for the article, which I really enjoyed - thank you JD.

In addition to what was kindly listed on the roadmap, as mentioned we have over 180 general fixes, around 50 fixes/updates for the 158 and a whole load more. The update is just massive.

It is only the start of our support for MML. I am so grateful to all of you here for the support and suggestions you have given. Let me follow on with a post on some new news for you all as promised :)

Bought her for £49 last week :) Ran it for the first time this afternoon. She runs a charm.
I bought the Railfreight Red Stripe gray version of this over 10 years ago from Warley.

I will be watching my PS5 intently tomorrow for the update, what you've all done is fantastic and I love the openness you've shared with the feedback and improvements. I can't wait to see what the future holds for this route.

With the sneaky inclusion of the 158 as a layer on the glossop line, combined with the coming improvements I may well look to pick this one up soon.

Ok, probably not a surprise to anyone who reads my ramblings, but I can confirm we are planning a raft of additional content for MML and we will be treating the route as a base route for further content, in many areas. We hope it is the start of something very special indeed. MML is not a fire and forget route, but is the foundation on which we intend to build many things!

We have a list of content that we would like to build, across all areas of the sim, including some ideas that have never before been featured in any route. We are super excited. I can confirm this is just the start of MML. It is official!

Rather than list out everything on our plans, (and I will share info shortly when I can).. I wanted to put the ball in your court, to see what you all want to see first? Please share with me your wishlists for what you would like to see in order of preference? All thoughts are welcome.

I emphasise this is not because we don't have ideas, we have lots! I just want to gauge which new content is most appealing to all of you. We will match that against what we have here to determine a running order for production. You may also come up with something we haven't thought of. So this is your chance to tell us what you would like to see next in MML.

I cannot guarantee the production order for obvious reasons, but we want to do this in a way that is inclusive of all of you and your personal wishlists. Working with Adam Lucas (who is Mr Content) and the team we feel the MML future is incredibly exciting.

Again, thank you for your support of MML. This is just the beginning!

    Jane

Route extension (to Sheffield? Leeds? or south towards London... eventually)
Additional trains (Class 222) / Freight orientated services

But this is very exciting, and I love this idea!

Class 153 or 156 would be a nice addition. Surely groundwork is there already from the 158 Sprinter model

    1. I'd love to see a route extension down to Bedford first from Leicester. It's the only part of the MML that isn't in TS Classic.

    2. In second position a Class 222 DLC would be fantastic for immersion.

Railtours, even new steam? Despite its faults the new HST was a beauty in terms of sound and driving feel, I'd love to see what you did with a steam locomotive.

Won't lie, am excited to see this new update

I think I'll reserve judgement on what further enhancements would make sense until I see what's already been improved, as a whole. I do agree however that the work on the 158 would be an excellent basis for other members of the Sprinter and Pacer families, to fill out the more local traffic patterns.

As it's set in 2019, the 222 and 156 for passenger stock, 56s and 47s are common on freight workings as well.

    Hi Jane,

Firstly I wanted to take my time to say thank you and Skyhook for your work on fixing this route as it is one of my favourite routes due to the rolling stock and it’s great to see a great route made even better.

Secondly, I would like to let you know my thoughts on potential new content. Whilst the 222 is a obvious choice due to it being a staple of the MML, I would personally like to see either the Class 153 or Class 156 sprinters (preferably both) since they were my local rolling stock when I was younger and since you did such a good Job with the 158 (especially the sounds) I feel like your team could do a good job at bringing my childhood units to life (although they won’t be the exact same since mine were Greater Anglia)

I very much look forward to playing the new and improved version and seeing what will be added next :)

Emerging from lurk mode to also add my appreciation to the list for Jane and the team. I fell in love with unelectrified UK lines and I've been keeping a close eye on this thread over the past month. I'm looking forward to initial patch feedback tomorrow and will be buying the route if I like what I see.

For now a very well done to Jane and Skyhook for your efforts and for keeping us informed. :)
I'm excited to see what additions are going to be made to this route in the future.

Edit: Ah yes, a Class 222 is also high on my wishlist. One of my favourite diesels

I would really would love to see St Pancras to Bedford, namely for two reasons. Firstly, you already have AI HST traffic in SEHS, and secondly (and most importantly), I want to see the route to Bedford because of the Thameslink Class 700/0 which is coming to TSW. The 700 is perhaps the most requested/anticipated loco for TSW ever, so this would be a very popular route choice!
