    Hello,

Just an observation or whether anyone else can confirm, but the Mildmay line seems to be heavily CPU based?

It’s causing FPS drops. I tested this by lower and highering the graphics settings, and there was no difference or improvement of FPS. I have the Nvidia overlay and in places there’s 20-30% CPU usage and 60-70 GPU usage which suggests a bottleneck. Even running at 4K and screen percentage at 150% to try and even the workload of GPU/CPU there was still no difference, which suggests the GPU certainly isn’t the issue.

Are there any workarounds to solve the issue?

The only other route I’ve noticed it on is Birmingham to Crewe at New Street which is obvious as there’s so much going on.

    My specs are:

    Windows 11
    Nvidia GeForce RTX5080
    Intel i9-12900KF
    32GB RAM
    1TB SSD
2TB SSD (separate from the OS which Steam/TSW is installed on)

Thats called a partition and is not a issue in anyway. Thats how modern pc works now days.
I have 4 in total and brings no difference when you have 1 main SSD. More partitions are more safe when Windows is failing youre stuff are safe when you choose to re-install Windows and have to clean the main SSD.

The detail of the route will have a bigger impact over other routes. It’s a very highly detailed route with lots of scenery close together due to the proximity of the stations being closer to hornet that urban feel. It is slightly more intensive than other routes but not to the point that it is unplayable if that helps.

I agree, it’s by no means unplayable. It’s up there with one of my favourite routes, it’s only because it’s the first time I’ve fired up the route on my new PC. It was just an observation. Graphically there’s no issue.

Ah then that is why the first time you play a route it does perform a bit “slower” than others as it is the first time the shaders etc have been run through. If you close the sim and restart it after playing it the first time you will see performance improves as the shaders have been cached

With those specs you shouldn't be having any problems running TSW.
I have a 3080 and a lower spec CPU and it runs just fine.

And usually I don’t at all (although see my stuttering/flickering thread). There is a obviously a bottleneck on this route that’s causing an FPS drop.
