Hi, As we all know that was a small update that came on the XBOX. I noticed that we can either show or hide the Track Monitor bar which is great thanks. I thought I would give this mini HUD a try and noticed that even after this update what ever previous setting we had on the HUD seems to revert back to the NORMAL/DEFAULT version instead and not saving what we had before. OK here is the question I would like to ask regarding this Mini HUD. I noticed in the HUD and GAMEPLAY Settings we have 2 options here 1. Minimal HUD Objective Distance and 2. Mininal HUD Distance what are these as I can't seem to see what they do or show.
Mini hud distance - whether or not to the distance in numbers to the next objective Mini hud objective distance - for the barber pole countdown, do you want it to count down 1km, 2km or 4km range. Poor names, i'll get someone to revise them!
It's great that this is being clarified, I was tearing my hair out trying to figure it out while using the normal HUD. It never occurred to me that "Minimal" refers to this new form of HUD introduced in TSW4. I was parsing it as "minimal distance" in both cases. DTG Matt may I suggest labels like these to disambiguate? - Minimal HUD view: display the distance to the next objective: on/off - Minimal HUD view: countdown the distance to the next objective starting from : 1/2/4/off I would also suggest clarifying the "Show markers on track monitor" as this seems to pertain only to drawing the full length of a station on the track monitor. And it couldn't hurt to clarify these things without worrying about maximum string length in the user's manual.
Hello, I was asking myself the same question as OP since it’s named "Minimal HUD objective distance" and it’s still unclear. You could add details on what it’s for. There’s plenty of space to add an explanation. I understand that naming things is hard, especially when we’re in the details. But some option have a description. It cannot be that difficult to add one to each setting.
