Greetings tsw community I am a new here and I been enjoying the new LIRR route a bit even though there are certain things that are missing on the route that should be present. I would like to share my opinion on the one thing that’s been bothering me the most since the release of this route and I don’t know if other people feel the same way but it’s the missing active Amtrak/NJT layers between Penn Station & Harold Interlocking. It feels very unrealistic not seeing any moves in Penn Station & Harold Interlocking other than just LIRR EMUs . The adding of the NJT Layers to Long Island railroad Will add variety in traffic and authentically represent the real life version of the route. The layers would have offered something more new to the LIRR route that we haven’t experienced before in a US passenger release. I understand that adding those layers can cause issues,We have the train stock for the layers why not take advantage of that opportunity the same way they would do for other non US routes. We barely get US routes as it is,Even if you are just adding the Amtrak portion would have been acceptable if performance was an issue.
Hi Isaiah#77 , Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. Please note that we have a dedicated thread open for LIRR Commuter feedback here: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/lirr-commuter-feedback-thread.81073/page-11#post-843721
The issue is performance and memory. Unfortunately with all the traffic, it's very memory intensive, especially on this dlc. Each new train and trainset eats up a ton of memory. Not every system has that much. Consoles struggle with it which would cause crashing. Even on pc, performance tanks. Adding all the amtrak/njt traffic would result in a slideshow or a bunch of crashing
