I downloaded some reskins for the Class 416 in the BR Blue Diesel Electric Pack. Part of the process is to copy and paste the geo files from the original location to the new folders. However the geo files do not exist. Only the bin files are there. I have uninstalled and reinstalled (I'm assuming that's what happened when I unticked and ticked it on Steam). The original still appears in the game but the reskins don't (folders are there but nothing appears when I select as I haven't copies the correct files over). Any support would be appreciated.
The NSE and BR Green reskins from https://backdatedtrainsim.weebly.com/ No .ap file in what I downloaded, just .rwp which I installed using the Train Sim utilities programme. Funnily enough I downloaded the 4TC/438 reskin for the 421 from the same site and that was a slightly different process as I believe that led to a .bat file or something in the railworks asset folder, which I then ran and that works perfectly for me.
No.. in the folder where you are installing the reskin... the 416 folder. Is there an .ap file in there?
Yes, in my BluePack02 folder it's a .ap file.... unpack it with 7zip (into the same folder). All your missing files will magically appear... then re-install your reskin with Utilities.exe. It may say it's already installed... ignore it... do it again once you have unpacked the .ap file and all will be well.
T Many thanks. My wife is working on pc now so will open train sim later but it seems to have done the trick. I saw the .ap file earlier and assumed it was just for the blue/grey livery. I'm slowly starting to learn about all this stuff. Thank you very much for your help and patience!
