I've started noticing certain scenery from a selection of routes I have seem to be missing. I've long had things like OHE gantries missing on the original GWML and a lot of routes seem to have have the odd bridge missing. None of these have really bothered me. However I have started having things such as the District Line shed at Ealing Broadway or on the Bristol to Exeter line having whole stations such as Bristol Temple Meads, Taunton and Exeter St David's missing, apart from basic platforms. This is starting to bug me. The game itself runs fine. I did get a new PC earlier this year but I didn't have the missing station scenery issue then either. I also recently got some freeware but I'd like to think this is a coincidence and not the cause. Any suggestions on how to solve this annoying problem?
Assuming nothing is actually very wrong: Typically in the graphics options, the scenery detail slider is not at the maximum. Intended to help by reducing trees I suppose, pretty much every route has some essential objects at 100% only so ultimately this shall not be touched. (DTG: might as well remove) Run a file verification. If you removed some content, it might have taken out some stuff with it. Although Steam might have fixed this, cannot hurt. Clear cache. It removes a bunch of files that are used to speed up things. I only need it to restore the list of routes & trains for quick drive, but there are many other things it clears. The game will rebuild them from scratch.
Cheers. I'll give1 and 2 a go. If I clear the cache will it get rid of custom made scenarios and freeware?
