I am suggestions this scenic TSclassic route: Garmisch-Partenkirchen to Innsbruck! Route Infos: Length: 58 km Important Train Stations: Garmisch-Partenkrichen (source: https://www.franzhummel.de/abschnitt-1-am-bahnhof.html) Mittenwald (in 1991): (soruce: https://doku-des-alltags.de/BDMuenchen/KBS960/Mittenwald 1.html) Seefeld in Tirol: And of course Innsbruck Main Station. Possible Locos and Loco-DLC: It could be set in the past (like early 90s) or in modern days. - ICE T - Talent 2 - ÖBB 2016 for freight trains with new waggons - BR 110/111 with n-Wagen or m-Wagen - ÖBB 4020 Additional Information to the route (from DTG's steam page "The railway line has been carving its way through the alpine landscape of western Austria for more than a century, guaranteeing generations a vital connection from Innsbruck to Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Germany (...). After the first proposals for a railway line between Seefeld and Innsbruck were discussed in the late 1880s - and after numerous disputes over funding - approval was finally granted and construction began. Seefeld was originally intended to be the terminus, but the line was quickly extended to Mittenwald and eventually to the existing Garmisch-Partenkirchen station. This extension - even if it caused the costs to skyrocket - enabled a seamless connection between Munich and Innsbruck. The line opened in July 1912, but it was not until April of the following year that the planned electrification was completed and fully operational. Most railway lines were not built with overhead contact lines in mind, but it was decided to equip the Mittenwaldbahn to avoid any future work. The construction work in the landscape was difficult, so it was better - despite the initial costs - to do everything at once to avoid major renovations in the future. The Mittenwaldbahn proved essential for both locals and tourist traffic, which increased significantly. Numerous ski resorts were now easily accessible for many people. This was particularly noticeable at the 1976 Winter Olympics and the 1985 World Ski Championships. Around this time modernizations were carried out, which also provided for the construction of new signal systems and stations. Today the Austrian section of the route (Innsbruck-Scharnitz) is operated as line S5 of the Tyrolean S-Bahn. The ÖBB 4020 dominated this service in its heyday, but now the multiple units of the series 4024 'Talent' can be found there much more frequently. DB offers a regular service from Munich to Mittenwald, with occasional trains to Innsbruck. The two operators also provide weekly intercity express services consisting of the ICE-T bullet train, stopping only at the most important stations. Any freight transported on the route is often hauled by the modern and powerful ÖBB 2016 "Hercules" locomotives." Possible route: Conclusion: Finally this route could be the first Austrian-route. And It would be the first cross-border route in TSW as well. The austrian safety system is a nearly identical PZB and LZB as well as SiFa.
Nice route, as long as it doesn't come with yet another Talent 2. ÖBB4020 would be nice though. I loved that little EMU in Train Simulator.
Yeah true. Not another Talent 2 or the Dostos please. That's why the route should be set a few years in the past, so we'd have other locos. And the Talent 2 from SKA could still be there as substitution
How about introducing ÖBB electric locomotives ÖBB 1142 and the 1016 1116 these are made by modifying existing BR182s from Rapid Transit and Hamburg-Lübeck. Excellent idea
Yes please. I love how that loco looks. No thanks. I think these locos are absolutely fugly in design.
Definitely set in the 1980’s which is when I travelled over the line. Silberlinge stock, albeit painted ocean blue and cream, for that extra bit of comfort admiring the scenery. Well at least you couldn’t nod off sat on a hard plastic slab!
And I really think they are beautiful. Funny. A 1116 would be a great opportunity for the RailJet as a new train in TSW as the Railjet has 1116 and 1216 Locos.
1016 & 1116 are the DB BR182 OBB cousins. Try standing at Koln Hbf on SKA at 07:30 when the Nightjet Innsbruck/Wien Hbf to Brussels is running you're going to see it carry the Nightjet coaches. In this route Nightjet is AI at Innsbruck Hbf. One more OBB locomotive a 1293 Vectron.
The Mittelwald would be really cool to have, maybe with a second DLC for the route Munich Garmisch than we would have a full connection. I'm a big fan of both routes from Train Simulator but I don't think, that TSW could be a good replacement for the original scenery, because that's what the route makes so special
The mittenwalden is on my must have, it's a joy to run the TS1 version and TSW could really do the route justice.
