Hi, Just a post advertising my latest attempt at route building: the extension of the DTG St Pancras to Bedford route, as far as Leicester. The steam link is: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3041981673 It is set in the period prior to electrification north of Bedford and before the Market Harborough re-alignment. I also did a bit of work on the original route, adding lineside clutter and sorting out mainly speed signs that were missing, showing the wrong speeds or in the wrong place. I think I found them all. Quick drives are included including ai traffic. As the original route pre load folder only had Class 319 and Class 66 freight traffic, I have created a new pre load folder which uses the Cass 319, Class 66 + the Class 47 and Class 158 from Liverpool -Manchester and the default HST. This file can be downloaded from: https://drive.google.com/file/d/12ma3350T5LbZMEH8aS5twS26rnoz2ASt/view?usp=drive_link A ful list of required DLC is in the route description on Steam but the tags provided by Steam include the Just Trains Hope Valley. This is wrong and not needed. I used the Steam Version of the Just Trains Sheffield to Leicester when building the route. If you have the Sheffield Leicester route bought direct from Just Trains, I think that the Steam version will not be necessary. The reason why is that I have 2 installs of Train Simulator: One pure Steam and another with Steam add ons + all my 3rd party add ons. I did not install the Steam version of Sheffield to Leicester into my full version but it does have the full Just Trains MML collection and all scenery loads correctly. Here are some grabs. looking good so far. unfortuanatly missing one of the routes required but intrested to see how this route goes in development (and to see some of the scenarios the community makes)
This looks good, don't have a clue how you build these. Hopefully you can get some scenarios for this as well.
Nice to see my line get extended to Leicester are you going add the Corby loop and the Dudding Hill line later on
Sorry, there will be no extensions. I built the route to make possible MML runs from Sheffield to St Pancras without having to send my passengers from Leicester to Bedford by coach or taxi. The route, as it stands, does the job.
A very well done and a lovely surprise, it doesn't happen very often that a major extension such as this comes out without it being known about - this certainly fills in a massive gap in the ever growing Train Sim Classic UK Network and I can only imagine the amount of hard work that has gone into creating this, this is massively appreciated.
This looks great. I'll have to wait till the next Steam sale to buy the add ons I'm missing but cannot wait to give it a blast!
