Morning all, I have been rather busy of late so just wondered if we knew anymore about the upcoming MML update? Thanks.
Devs finished with patch 1and it has gone to Publishing who will assign a date for its release. We should hear very soon now.
Yes, it's been nearly a month since the last patch. I suspect we'll get one just before the next roadmap, simply so they can wax lyrically about it in the roadmap.
Yeah also waiting for a patch, very strange it is. For example Niddertalbahn fixes are ready since a day after it's release regarding to the devs...still nothing released. Hopefully we will not see TSW4 arriving next as a surprise ^^ It was gone very quite on TSW2 before the TSW3 release as well.
We definitely seem to be falling into the same pattern as last year. I mean if the summer update is TSW4 then my opinion will be I'll upgrade if I want the routes released if not I'll stick.
TSW 3 just came out last September and TSW2 in August 2020 so if it keeps the same pattern then TSW4 will be released at summer 2024. The only thing I hope is a huge fix for the numerous glitches and bugs and why not a rush hour update, no TSW4 with even more broken DLC from the previous title.
I'm still waiting for the various updates from ex Adams Preservation Crew work for the routes being updated from TSW2 and more recent stuff too. In the last Roadmap they mentioned that Dovetail are waiting for slots to put this work out but as mentioned earlier they hasn't been any update patches since 9th May. So what's their excuse now
Releasing an update for your game is not free (at least on Xbox, I think), so they're probably bundling them
Oh I am sure companies are charged for what they release via Xbox... you the customer might not be charged
Yeah the Xbox paid updates trope is pretty outdated- i think they ended it shortly after the XB1 launch. It has been VERY quiet the past couple weeks from DTG- was thinking we'd at least have gotten the MML and Niddertalbahn updates this week since we know they've both been submitted for publishing. I'm starting to suspect the "TSW4 this summer" theorists might be on to something...
If TSW4 is imminent I’d like to think consist designer will be part of it. Especially when it was mooted that it could be made possible by Matt a while back.
Cannot help think that the core TSW product should be free and it is the routes and trains that attract the commercial value. Like a Microsoft or AWS tenancy in that the core product is free with little to no function but the usable services are at cost.
+1 on that... That should've been their business model from day 1. Would've saved them from a lot of backlash...
