I'm hoping people more in the know about things, or maybe even a DTG employee can help. Mobile phone games are a penny a dozen and there are a few Train simulator games, 99% are frankly rubbish. But I still get adverts for them come up on other games. There have been a couple (Sorry by the time I try to take a screenshot the advert is finished) that clearly use images/videos and screenshots from TSW. Now I assume that DTG haven't given their permission for these to be used. So can licensing be affected by Mobile Gaming companies stealing images from TSW or other games?
Suspect most of these games originate in countries like Russia, China and India that don't have robust copyright protection laws particularly as they all seem to clone each other. However that shouldn't stop DTG pursuing with Apple and Google/Android over breach of copyright material. Unless of course they are hoping these LOVE games might end up pointing people towards the real TSC/TSW and buing that.
