If this works as I think, this enhances the value of the route so much and because of the quality of DLC, is definitely worth a future purchase for me, but I'll wait for a sale. Thank you very much for your work. Could you maybe explain us anytime in the PC Editor Forum? I would be very pleased to know how that works.
Just want to say thank you to OP for this amazing mod. Given the requests for train announcements I’m surprised it’s not gained more attention when the negative threads roll on for pages and pages. The first version was stuttery but I’ve had no problem with updated mod and it works perfectly and really adds to the immersion. I hope in time you may be able to do the 377 and 387 on the Brighton line (complete with the bing bong noise) as that will complement what you have already done with the 700. Great work and thank you again.
Thanks for this mod. I am running a Thameslink 700 service to Brighton and the announcements are great.
One piece of feedback I have is I wish the announcements had some sort of vocal effect on them so it sounded like they were coming from an actual speaker/intercom system. With the way they are implemented now, it sounds like a lady is just standing right next to you talking in your ear. Still amazing nonetheless and can't wait to see where this goes next! Bravo!
Have to test again, but I think that this mod is bit by the save bug. Doing a 700 run on LBM and post a save and resume, I couldn't hear the announcements.
In the download ZIP file, you have lots of folders in the TS2Prototype/Binaries/Win64/Mods/ folder. Do I actually need all of these other mods installed or can I just get away with the 'autoannouncermod' folder?
I should think that all folders have to be present in the game. This is external software that runs outside of TSW4. Mike.
Automatic Train Announcements v1.1.0 has been released Added Watford DC Line announcements for the Class 710 Enabled audio spatialization and reverb for announcements Fixed an issue that could cause the wrong announcement to be played on the Class 710 Fixed an issue that could prevent the "next station" announcement from playing on the Class 710 Announcements now play in all coaches of the Class 700 Fixed a crash when returning to the main menu Download: https://www.trainsimcommunity.com/m...uncements/i4704-automatic-train-announcements
Just came accross this and am very much enjoying it, its a real game changer. Shame DTG haven't done this yet, but perhaps something is on the horizon.
Automatic Train Announcements v1.2.0 has been released Added announcements for the Bakerloo Line Added announcements for the Southeastern Class 375 Added announcements for the Southeastern Class 465 Added announcements for the LNER Class 801 Announcements now work in scenarios Removed reverb Fixed some broken announcements on the Class 700 Fixed a crash when returning to the main menu and loading another route Download: https://www.trainsimcommunity.com/m...uncements/i4704-automatic-train-announcements
I've just spent a proper evening enjoying the game with your mod, I have to say well done and thank you for implementing this into the sim as it makes the experience so much more enjoyable, and is no hassle at all to install. I wouldn't be surprised if DTG does a U-turn on their current stance towards in-game train announcements because of your mod and magically finds a way to quickly implement the feature into the core game. Just some feedback - Bakerloo Line trains terminating at Queen's Park don't currently play the 'this train terminates here, all change please' announcement as they should when they arrive at Queen's Park, and sometimes play the announcement for a station the train isn't currently at, e.g. 'This is Waterloo' when it arrives at Lambeth North and vice versa. On a positive note I have to credit you for getting the announcements correct for the year the route is set in, I'm sure it would break the immersion hearing 'This is Paddington, change here for the Elizabeth Line' when the route in the sim is set before it opened, so extra well done and thank you for that!
Automatic Train Announcements v1.2.1 has been released Added announcements to the white Class 375 Fixed announcements not playing on Cannon Street and Ramsgate services Fixed incorrect announcements playing at some stations Fixed announcements playing after a service already ended Fixed starting announcements playing too early on some services Download: https://www.trainsimcommunity.com/m...uncements/i4704-automatic-train-announcements
Thank you so much for this. It’s an amazing mod and really brings the trains to life. do you think you might ever be able to do the 387 and 377 on Brighton Line?
I'm really enjoying this mod. Thank you. Just feed back on sehs, at sittingbourne, Rainham and Rochester it should announce change here for services to... Also on the 375s there is a stopping service and a fast service to London Victoria. With different stopping patterns.
I´m going to have to check this out ... automated announcements have been a thing on TSC for a while with RW Enhancer and even certain routes like the Frankfurt U-Bahn, Hamburg U-Bahn or the Ringbahn Berlin. I was always thought it should be possible to implement some kind of system with the fixed timetables in TSW. Although I´m in two different minds about announcements in general. I find them very immersiv on light rail systems, underground, emus etc... but I don´t need them on loco hauled services. I don´t think you would actually hear them in the cab. Routes like the upcoming WCML Preston to Carlisle with the class 87 don´t need them.
Now that we know about the Cardiff City Network, would you consider adding announcements for the 150 and 153?
I can't check this out as I'm on console, but looks fantastic. I can't understand how modders like yourself can do such a great job with features DTG themselves don't/can't implement. Feels like they should get you in to give a masterclass on route announcements, as they did with Fawx for the LO timetable! If I ever move to PC, this will be a must-download mod. Announcements on the 801 would bump the experience up to a whole new level!
This is an amazing mod. Only one issue is if you go to a different camera then back to the cab the announcements stop. Apart from that no other issues
Just installed this today and it really adds to the immersion when driving. Any plans for the 395 on SEHS? And also the 313/377/387 on London Brighton and East Coastway?
Just an update to my previous post.................... I've found that when selecting any service with the SouthEastern Blue class 375 the game crashes whilst loading. It works ok with the other stock including the white class 375. As soon as I remove this mod the blue class 375 works fine again.
Just FYI this mod is very very unstable and will crash your game every time you use it. If you’re lucky enough to have it work for a service it will 100% crash when you return to the menu. These UE4SS mods are great but the DLL itself is borderline useless, at least with TSW. Such a huge shame.
Only crash I've had is with the blue 375..... It's been working fine with the 700, 465, 801 and 710.. Odd occasion it stops announcing near the end of a run.
Nothing just returns to menu and I select another route and/or service as I do when it isn’t installed. Only issue in menu’s is I sometimes have to press the windows key to select a menu item but this also happens when using the frame creation app used with your mod.
I've had this mod running for several weeks, never had a crash. I do hope it gets expanded to other routes - I'd like it in German (and Dutch) too, even though I wouldn't understand.
Such a great mod that adds a lot of immersion. Hopefully we can see the Mildmay line added at some point. Overground and tube routes really benefit most for these type of announcement addons IMHO.
Not sure why DTG haven't implemented this. It's one thing we have to give kudos to Rivet for- they've made it work brilliantly. Bernina even adds sightseeing spiels!
I would realy like to say that I love this mod, but I am sorry.. Every time I instali it, I keep getting a "ue4-ts2prototype crash".. sometimes it's when I launch the game and other times it's when I am half way during a ride.. It's realy frustrating..
Yes. For all the mishaps Rivet conjure up, they do get my respect for adding on-board announcements. It’s a mystery to why DTG can’t add some form of in-house custom announcements for their routes or official if they get permission. This makes playing the Berlina line more enjoyable for me, a route I put off buying for a long time. I was thoroughly surprised by how good it was. 1 hour and 20 minutes in almost complete silence descending the mountain, would make me lose interest easily. The announcements keep me alert and are music to my ears.
