I decided to change the fairly bland and generic advertisements on the Bakerloo Line with something a bit more appropriate and true to real life. You can download from here. Simply place the PAK file in your DLC folder.
Those are great, makes it looks more realistic, well done. How long did it take to come up with these?
Hi, it took me about 1-2 hours to create these. The most time intensive part was actually looking for some decent ones online, as opposed to editing and creating them.
londonmidland Nice work! Any chance you can post these in the Creation Centre from here on - they may be PC only, but let's put them in the right forum.
Will do. Wasn’t aware there was such a place to post things like this but I shall for any future posts. Perhaps you could move this and another thread of mine into the relevant place if you have any spare time for it?
Had a play on the Bakerloo line yesterday, lovely to see all those real posters on the stations. I wonder Sir, how possible/difficult/time consuming would it be to re-skin the newspapers and newspaper stands to something like The Metro or London Evening Standard, or a choice of both? Something like that would be awesome!
having some issues with this one Midland, its a zipped file and when I try and extract it is says its empty.
I’ve not had a look at this although I assume something like this would be relatively easy to do. The question is, how noticeable would it be at stations? Are there newspaper stands at the majority of stations or only a few?
According to this site https://gameplay.tips/guides/8340-train-sim-world-2.html there are stands in all but 2 stations but some stations have more than one stand, from memory not all are on the actual platform but are on the concourse, overbridge etc. Understandable it wouldn't be worth re-skinning if it's very time consuming but just thought it would make it even more 'real life like' seeing Metro/LES paper stands.
I too am having problems opening that zip file, though had no problems with the other ones you've posted here. Screenshot attached, if I've done this correctly. Cheers. Stu
Absolutely brilliant! So good to have skilled people in the community who can add small but meaningful improvements like this!
I get what you’re saying, but if they go in there they’re going to quickly get lost amongst all the drivel. These are proper QOL mods that really enhance a route, not some rubbish multi-coloured fictional liveries/screenshots/whatever. Might I suggest that the creation forum is split into one ‘General’ for screenshots etc, then further by Platform. It would be a real shame for londonmidland and others to make these mods and take the time to share them here, but for them to immediately disappear under an avalanche of nonsense. Thanks.
This. I was considering posting it in the creations forums however it’s so cluttered and not organised at all. Most of it only consists of user made re-skins so I personally think it is more appropriate to post mods in the PC section. Until the creation forums are more organised, I shall continue to post my mods in the PC forums.
How do you do it man without an editor is astounding I gather you have the Unreal engine editor to hand? Where is the sound mod i’ve heard banging about to improve the sounds of the 1972 stock?
These are oldschool style texture mods - you "simply" replace the texture files the game uses and you're done. Only difference being I believe is that you need a program to unpack unreal engine .pak files and re-pack them in this case?
This is correct. You simply replace existing textures with new ones. You unfortunately cannot change models, however.
I've edited the track textures on the Bakerloo Line as I find the default looking ones to be far too dark and dirty looking. You can download the mod here.
Yeah DTG really messed up on this one. I know it’s just for scenery, but it can clearly be seen. Using post 2015 OHLE equipment for a line that was electrified around the 1960s? Seriously DTG?
Can anyone please help to identify where the DLC folder is in the steam folder to place the PAK files for posters and newspapers for the bakerloo line. Thanks in advance.

I've searched but failed to find any mods for station announcements on the Bakerloo - most notably the booming "Mind the Gap" and "Stand clear of the doors". Has anybody done these please, as they are such dominant features in real life? Also I note the Raildriver support is "in production" - being totally disillusioned with using a game controller in preference to a keyboard when I have a Raildriver sitting on my desk in use for TS2021 and earlier, does anyone know when "in production" means support for this controller in TSW2?
John S Here's a mod I've made which may interest you and others: Bakerloo 1972TS open and close door announcements. Simply place in your DLC folder. *Video available to view here* Download here
Only been in London 2 times but that iconic announcement I remember. Very cool mod, I need to download that. I also downloaded your random announcement mod and while being scared the first time the voice started randomly, I really appreciate the extra layer it adds.
Another great mod. Just wondering, whenever I travel on the LU (though only tends to be Circle/Hammersmith & City/Northern) from memory before the doors open and she say's "mind the gap etc." I remember a two tone chime thingy noise, is that not on the 1972 stock IRL?
Wonder if DtG is going to fix the really quiet bogie run sounds in-cab? Be nice if they had the distinctive sounds that is the Bakerloo line especially when running the tunnels?
I wouldn’t bet on it. DTG just recycle any old running and bogies sounds from any old stock. Making the train actually sound like the real thing clearly isn’t their specialty.
For some reason, downloading this causes my tracks in East Coastway to look whiter than normal. Is there a version that doesn't touch East Coastway, but only adds the door sounds?
