In the last week I spent almost all of my free time to create a new mod: Timetable Improvements for Hauptstrecke-Rhein Ruhr. Now the first version of the mod is practically ready and the tests also sound promising. When no major issues surface in further tests, the mod should be available for download very soon. The main feature of the mod is all the PIS data I added to all services. This makes the platform departure boards look much busier and it also allows you to see so much more in the IC coaches than the three stops that take place on the route. You should obviously have Muffs platform departure boards mod installed to see all that work. Also, I was always unhappy with how unrealistic the freight runs are on the line. And then when the tanker train got a double header, it became completely ridiculous. That's why I asked around a bit and apparently there's not much going on on the line except for a few steel transports. In all the spotting videos, I found much more frequent runs of single locomotives. That's why I converted 10 of the freight services into light locomotive runs, 10 runs are ICE ECS runs (so you can finally see some ICEs on the route) and 10 services are a relatively heavy steel trains. Therefore with my mod the MSB layer additionally requires HMA and RRO. EDIT 17:21 The mod is now available for download, have fun! https://www.trainsimcommunity.com/m...improvements-pis-data-freight-formations-swap Here are some impressions of what I've done to the timetable.
That's awesome, but wouldn't it be better if some of the solo locomotive moves would be a proper power move (like in RSN) and you could maybe include a coaching stock move with maybe some DoStos mixed to some IC coaches for example. Not sure if any of those is realistic on that line but it already seems awesome as it is. Great job
I also thought about a power move but many spotting videos on the route had at least one light loco run so I rather wanted to make that. I sadly only have three formations available and that were the top three things I wanted to make.

Hey TrainSim-Adam this now fully depends on whether you already added the timetable data for HRR or whether that's still on your todo list but I could help you with this if it isn't already finished. I could at least give you all my research on the virtual destinations but alternatively you are free to use my mod's data assets somehow if that would help you in any way. Hit me up when I can give you further information.
It probably sounds silly, but HRR feels so much more alive and just good now with this mod, it is amazing. Thanks a lot, makes the endless wait for preservation crew updates a bit less frustrating and the route much better, you do a great job!!
Thank you for the kind words. This really means a lot and makes all the time I spent on it worth even more
I share the same feeling as Cramnor. The route feels so much better with this mod installed. Especially the variety in rolling stock makes it better. But also off-map destinations on PIS make it feel like you are in a part of a bigger world, rather then a route that is closed off at the ends which adds to the immersion. Thanks a lot for creating this mod!
It is just so nice to see the PIS screens at the stations working, but most of all that all the Dostos on this route finally have a working PIS is just amazing. Add in the new rolling stock variety, I am truly amazed how much of a difference it can make. We have to thank you I really hope Adam takes you up on your offer, that would be a win-win for everyone, although the wait for it could still be a long one in that case
The mod is out just a little over 24 hours and the next version is already available. Version 0.2 fixes the substitution for the BR 155 and BR 182. Just download the new version and delete the old one or use the updater feature of my Mod Manager.
