So with Sherman Hill we now have better intermodal cars but it still leaves out the others. Like with auto racks each route only has the auto racks that come with it which is not at all realistic, it’s basically the same with box cars. I think they can fix this by layering fright cars when you buy a freight route and this already sort of happens with Canadian national Oakville subdivision with CSX. But that basically it
The freight cars definitely need to mix a lot more, autoracks are a good example, hoppers probably too, the ribbed one should mix in with the round ones, etc. The problem is (as Matt described it) that when a car randomly subs in, the game cannot assign a load to it. So if you had freight cars subbing in now, all trains would be extremely light as the cars could only be empty. Probably worth fixing soon-ish with NS rolling stock coming in too.
