I think it would be wonderful if they added more "MAIN" destinations to some routes. For example, in the
Schnellfahrstrecke Köln-Aachen there are only two destinations: Koln and Aachen. Maybe they could increase the length and continue on to more hub destinations. Also, in the GWR route, the route could be extended from London Paddington - Reading to London Paddington - Reading - Portsmouth Harbor/Oxford/Bristol Parkway. However, I am not really sure if this possible for the team to accomplish or not.

I personally believe that a mix would be nice. Some with large cities and destinations, while some without and having a smaller town or something to visit.
I think that Cornwall as a whole route would be a nice idea as there are many branchlines and DLC possibilities. It also has Plymouth and Penzance which are both well known as Plymouth is a big Naval city, and Penzance being at the far west of Cornwall on the coast.
That and Southampton to Waterloo, or London Victoria to Brighton with Hayward’s Heath to Lewes included for the same reasons that London being busy and the capital, and Southampton and Brighton being coastal destinations.
All of these would include other busy and well known places. For example, if Cornwall was added, it should include Newquay which is again, a busy town on the coast and is popular during the summer.
