Hello Dovetail team. I am creating this post to see with you if it would be possible to put a little more consideration into French railways. Indeed, except for the Avignon Marseille line, nothing represents France even though the latter is a pioneer in the history of trains. So I know what you're thinking, let's adapt one of these addons that we made for Train Simualtor like Avignon-Lyon or Strasbourg-Kassel, but no, we want something new and not something recovered. I offer you some ideas: the Paris metro (lines 5, 9, 2, 6 are not bad). Otherwise, I suggest that you take the RER A or B in its entirety (because you're tired of unfinished roads where you just drive 60km). Finally, I suggest that if not, you create the Transiliens lines which are lines starting from Paris and going to the limits of the Paris region. Finally, I suggest you otherwise create a TER line (this is an inter-region train) leaving from the famous Gare du Nord in Paris to Maubeuge near Belgium). I hope you like these proposals, and I sincerely hope to be able to see in a year at least a French DLC and not an English or German one. I can also help with the project to obtain information, opinions, photos, etc... Thank you for your understanding Bilou
This was being discussed in another thread and it seems DTG have encountered a brick wall with SNCF as regards licensing and depicting technical data such as signalling and cab procedures in a simulation/game. So unless they can find a willing private operator or heritage railway it seems our dreams of further French railway routes in TSW remain a dream.
The only thing that can be viable as someone said in the other thread is to see with the RATP for the RER (the A and B) but that will give half a route for the B (Châtelet to Robinson/St Rémy lès Chevreuse) and for the A two of the branches cannot be used because it is managed by the SNCF (Poissy and Cergy's branches) and in addition there are certain stations which are managed by the RATP AND the SNCF
