It's a shame that it's only playable on the Main Spessart Bahn, although it could be driven on many more. I hope that we could drive it on more routes
Yeah it should have the same services as the db br 363, both are shutters so I fail to see the problem and I don’t think most people would care if it’s unrealistic for it to be on some routes it should still be on them as a sub before db br 363
I'm not an expert but from what I understand is that it's too weak to substitute the mainline locos. & too long to substitute the shunters in the timetable mode. Feel free to correct me...
I believe at some point Matt said the only reason it does not substitutes into the BR 363 services is that Rivet has set the tags up wrong for it. If that's true, then it should be a fairly easy fix. But I wonder why it has never happened yet, not even in the form of a mod.
BR204 is playable also on MKN. They just kinda forgot it exists, similar to RSN 363 and the cement wagons, which are only used in few recent routes again.
...apparently only PC players can play the BR204 on MKN. I have also installed all the German DLCs on the PS5, but unfortunately the BR204 is only listed for MSB. I can hardly imagine that consoles have to be tagged separately. If Jasper from Rivet is reading this: it would be nice if the team tagged the locomotive as a substitute for the BR363. That would increase the fun of the game and provide more variety.
Yes I agree it is a pity BR 204, is limited to very few routes!. There is also a "double headed" timetable for it. But do not forget about the great tool "Free Roam". So you can use it on every route! As being a Diesel it has no limitation as the electric ones. Yesterday for example I wanted to drive a BNSF ES44C freight train. But with real "branded" freight cars. So I create my train using "Formation Designer" tool. Then I go to ES44C timetable and select another freight train. So this one will be the leading train. After it departs, I followed behind. Then I got several yellow lights and some reds. Running on Cajon Pass! Then you can do things like that, with the BR 204 on any route too!
Sure, it's true that you can place and adjust almost everything yourself, but fully occupied tracks with AI traffic are unfortunately still too complicated. That's why the substitute option is so important, because you want to be able to travel in real timetable mode.
