Out of all of the current german routes in the game, I can only recall properly using the PZB override button and having the "Befehl 40" indicator illuminate only once. (exiting out of Wuppertal with the Ne1 board) It is such a shame. It seems like dovetail programmed it, and did not put it to good use. Yes in reality overriding isn't very common and in TSW you just have to contact the dispatcher with a click of a button, but I wish DTG would create more of these instances. Zusi 3 has something called the “chaos function”, where you can't expect to only have greens. Which makes the experience so much fun. For example faulty signals and more yellow/cautionary signals would will help. Makes the simulation more realistic because I feel like there are just too many greens even with all layers.
I totally agree, also using things such as a Zs1, Zs7 or driving on the opposite track would be fun, but I also have to say I personally would prefer if they fixed the signalling system itself before implementing stuff like this, that would just add more complexity and more things that can go wrong.
Well, we did at least get quite a bit of that in the Br 363 DLC which I was happy about. Besides that, I seem to remember that in TSW 2020, shunting signals didn‘t turn white when contacting the dispatcher and that you had to use Befehl 40. Is that just me misremembering or was it like that in TSW 2020 and got changed in the preservation process?
I think that there are 2 features to add to the game. A random generator of freight train/straordinary services to add to the normal freight services of the route and some delay of the IA trains. Both things can add a lot of situations to the route like random shutting services without or with a shutting locomotive (if you have it with dlcs), delay along the line, possible to use different track to pass the train in front of you and a lot of different situations. Now with many locomotive and many freight wagons the possibilities to create many different configurations and situations is possible. Of course for a better ecperience is better to own every dlc of that kind of trains (like german one) but it can be a start point. And with a longer route and new dlcs in future the game will be better during the time, the next gen consoles will help a lot and i hope that in future the will add services to the currently time tables. Or if the need to focus on the future dlcs gives to the community the feature to add/change the services of a time table expetially for freight, shutting and depot operations. The things that can do to make better this game are a lot. And at the moment i like it. Also, now that all preserved routes were released we can see how the game will improuve during the time
