Apologies if someone has suggested this before, I know there have been calls for the Morristown NJT route, but I do think this would be a great fit. I have two major reasons I think this would be an excellent choice (one very biased and one that I think will make many people happy.). First the route would have some shared assets but would also possibly open a way to Hoboken which would be a nice addition to the TSW World. Also, Summit NJ is a big transfer point. Route locos/stock, we already have the ALP-46 and bi-level commuter cars. I would love to see diesel power like GP40 but ALP-45 may make more sense. And, my personal bias is this is a my home route as I lived in Summit until I was 16! The second reason I think this is a good suggestion will make many people happy who like more variety in routes. Morristown and Erie main shops are in Morristown, and could be built in a route time where there was short operations in the line. I remember fondly seeing M&E trains passing or waiting in Summit, as well as taking the train to Morristown as a young teenager to watch them work at the Morristown shops. I’m not sure how accurately this can be rendered depending on the era chosen, but I think these two offerings in a route would be very fun and appeals to many different players based on what they enjoy. ‘I do think it would be hard to model everything from Hoboken, with all the equipment etc. But, I just see this as a route that would cover a lot of what multiple different views are for a route. Anyway, I’m biased of course, but I could see this being a popular addition!
