Moscow Fili line Aleksandrovsky Sad (lines 4 and 4a) Aleksandrovsky Sad is a terminal station located near the Kremlin. The peculiarity of the station is the turnover of trains at the uduh island platforms. Moreover, trains traveling on line 4A always occupy the northern track, and Line 4 trains occupy only the southern track. Arbatskaya (lines 4 and 4a) Arbatskaya is one of the classic stations of the mid-30s. A little-known fact is the presence of a cafe on the platform, working for drivers and passengers. Smolenskaya (lines 4 and 4a) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3meSdNkVgqk Between Smolenskaya and Kievskaya stations, the train comes to the surface and crosses the Moscow River on a bridge. It offers a good view of the Parliament House. Bridge Parliament House Kievskaya (lines 4 and 4a) Kievskaya Station is a large transfer hub, which includes 2 more metro lines and Kievsky railway station. The station is the last one shared by routes 4 and 4A. Vystavochnaya (line 4a) Vystavochnaya station together with Mezdunarodnaya was built in the early 2000s during the construction of Moscow City skyscrapers. Mezdunarodnaya (line 4a) Mezdunarodnaya Station is the terminus for Route 4A. It, as well as Vystavochnaya, is located under the Moscow City complex. Studencheskaya (line 4) Starting from Studencheskaya station, all stations are on the surface. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kD65gP4ju8M Kutuzovskaya (line 4) Kutuzovskaya station stands out because it is located almost entirely under the bridge. It is also separated from the Moscow Central Circle station by a glass wall. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MnNjpyYdtMA In the stretch between stations, the train does not travel long along the embankment of the Moskva River. At this moment, you can observe skyscrapers of Moscow City. Moscow City Fili (line 4) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JEVEJ9pzfEs Bagrationovskaya (line 4) Bagrationovskaya station is also partially located under the bridge. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SnFKs-GXP9o Filyovsky Park (Filevsky Park) (line 4) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZvu6gjNUWU Pionerskaya (Pionerskaya) (line 4) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CWpiNNB-aO0 Kuntsevskaya (Kuntsevskaya) (line 4) The terminal station of line 4. Once the line went further and included part of line 3. The peculiarity of the station is the combination of lines 3 and 4. Moreover, the turnover of trains on line 4 occurs on one dead-end track. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FYw3BvB6LVY ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Trains During the existence of the line, many trains were used on it. However, I want to highlight 3 types that worked for a long time on the line after 2000. 1) ЕЖ type wagons The wagons are still from the USSR. They ran regularly until they were replaced by Rusich trains. https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/Еж_ (vagon_metro) https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/Еж3 2) Rusich type trains Silver trains made up of paired wagons on a common trolley. They went along the Filevskaya line in the mid-00s. https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rusich_(vagon_metro) 3) Moscow type trains The Moscow train arrived on the line relatively recently. A special feature of the train is a through passage through the entire train. In the modification of the train for the Filevskaya line, the train has a different layout of the head car, remotely resembling an excursion. https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moskva_(vagon_metro) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I also found an audio (video) with the announcement of metro stations, which I attach below. The peculiarity of the Moscow metro is that a female voice announces stations when moving from the city center, and a male voice announces stations when moving to the city center. 2020 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=APqSsydSn8Q 2019 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YkwXX67yZYk 2018 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jvfgt9clJac -------------------------------------------------------------------- Other videos with line shots https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qXP0o8VyLg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-2yDDY3ro54
Excellent idea for the mail boys it would be like the Russian equivalent of Main Spessart Bahn Aschaffenburg-Gemünden Schnellfahrstrecke Köln-Aachen Hauptstrecke rhein ruhr RRO Riesa-Dresden Dresden Chemnitz Karl Marx Stadt Tharandter Rampe Ingo Ruff. Female Voice Russian Equivalent to Emma Clarke Bakerloo Line and M9 LIRR Velinda Mitchell voice
Russian "Schnellfahrstrecke" could be a part of October's Division Moscow - Saint Petersburg line (wiki): Moscow - Klin (89 km) or St Petersburg - Lyuban (83 km) but the problem is that there won't be the "main character" on this line, the HST "Sapsan", because there is no stops for them in less than 100 km from each terminus (first stop from Moscow for Sapsans is the city of Tver - 166 km and this is the farest terminus for suburban trains from Moscow btw, from SPb - the Chudovo station - 118 km), building a route longer than 90km is a problem in TSW I think, well at least now. For rolling stock, it will be great to see modern EMU Siemens ES2G "Lastochka" (ЭС2Г "Ласточка") or an EMU ET2M (ЭТ2М) from 90s. Long distance trains (I mean locomotive power) are also won't be fit great because they don't have stops until Tver or Chudovo too (they can do a stop on side tracks w/o boarding at any station before but only to let Sapsans pass bc they are faster). They can add freight services with Soviet VL10/VL10U (ВЛ10/ВЛ10У) electric locomotive and intermodal platforms as an DLC, for example. Here are some photos from this line which I found on Trainpix.org: High-speed train "Sapsan": Some locomotive power: ES2G and ET2M EMUs: And freight action:
Russian Soviet EMUs would be great in TSW 2 Found an intresting video about types of tube carries in Russia "Историческая справка" : Вагоны метро типов А/Б. - YouTube
but a real simbol of Fili ( blue) line is not ЕЖ at all. The real iconic train is type Д ( D) nearly 50 years in service! 30 years on the Fili line.
It is true. The line runs mostly through open spaces the last combines ultimately picruresque views. Historically this line has had a wide range of metro fleets.
Fili line has past through many dramatic historical events exampale Metro- bridge in dramatic October days 1993
