Hi all. I recently bought my first train sim game, TSW2, and i can see that its the kind of thing i would really enjoy playing. BUT, i can't get around the incredibly frustrating mouse motion in game. Its very fast, with seemingly no way of slowing it down and that makes controlling any lever so fiddly, that, for me at least, it renders everything un-enjoyable.

    I'm using a Dell XPS 15 4k resolution.

I have tried putting up with it, but to no avail. I don't want to play anymore because of this. Googling this issue, it seems a common complaint. So my question is, is there any advice you fine folk can give me to get round this problem? Im mostly interested in the Bakerloo Line scenario, but that's just impossible to enjoy or even progress.

So frustrating. I have tried every setting in the options as well as in windows to slow the speed.

Oh yes, another annoying thing is that you cant see out the window when using the controls. Not a major issue, but seems silly and adds to the frustration.

Shame..maybe another similar game is better?

    Thanks for reading.

Edit: reading through the search results in this forum, it seems that maybe it's because I'm not running the game at my screens native resolution and also might be due to me running it windowed.

I'll try a few possible solutions later today.

Most of the time I can get satifying results here by freezing the camera (right-clicking) in a position where I can see both the controls and the window, then I can move the mouse pointer and operate the controls that I want to handle with the mouse (not by keyboard shorts anyway) without moving the camera.

There should absolutely be a "center view" button with a view you can customize just like in other Train games and MSFS

Thanks again for the advice everyone. I'll look into keyboard control. I tried the mouse again yesterday and although running the game at my screens native resolution and full screen helped a bit, it's still way too clunky.

    Thanks

Ditch mouse control, it’s awful. If you want to pull,a plastic lever get one of those rail driver shenanigans, you’ll be able to post loads then how that doesn’t work properly too which is nice :D

Raildriver is just too US centric.
    Plenty to whinge about

I never considered that. What's your reasoning?
