I understand why DTG placed the 1972 on platform 6 - it's intended to represent a Central line train. But they missed a trick. Rather than representing the 1992 stock used on the Central line, which looks rather different to the 1972 stock, it could represent the very similar looking 1973 stock used on the Piccadilly line, which do indeed occasionally venture into Ealing Broadway as replacements for District line services. All it would take is moving it from platform 6 to platform 7.
