Mrce 182 Layer | Riesa - Dresden

Why doesn't the MRCE BR 182 layer onto Riesa - Dresden? I know that the RT 182 layers onto the route as a substitution for some Regional services, but why not the MRCE version for some of the freight services? Does the 182 not run freight services in this area IRL?

 

It’s not the only substitution that’s missing. No other freight locos substitute in either. The reason given in live streams is that if all available locos substituted in there would often be too many unique vehicles on the route at any one time and it would cause similar issues that the layers did on HMA for the old consoles. If a loco is available for us to select to drive it also appears on AI trains at random, so to stop too many different locos on AI trains causing the issues, we can’t select them on the service we drive.

 

Oh, that makes sense. It is a bit of a bummer to not have some of those extra locos on though.

 

Was wondering if you uninstall MSB you only loose the msb 146 and not an extra layer right?

 

No because the 146 in DRA is a new build version just for this route. As is the new 143 and 185.5

 

The only payable layer for this route is the 101 (HRR).
The second one is from SKA - ICE.
